Anne Chedgey Henderson (née Hall-Cragg)

Cornakill, Kingscourt, Cavan / Dunmore East, Waterford

Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, Thursday, 4th August, 2022, aged 87.

Predeceased by her husbands Ron Chedgey and Edward Henderson, her brother John and her sister Marion.

Deeply regretted by her loving children Chris, Paul, Josie and Robin, her grandchildren Emma, Róisín, Colm, Jamie, Sam, Chloe, Deirbhile, David, Claire, Jess, Jason and Emma's husband Emmet.

Sadly missed by her stepchildren Richard, Sue and Michael. Lovingly cared for and dearly missed by her daughter-in-law Ingrid and her dear neighbour and friend Eileen Caffrey.

Fondly remembered by Paul's partner Julie, Josie's partner Ger, Rob's partner Linda, relatives and friends.

Funeral service on Sunday, 7th August, in St Ernan's Church, Kingscourt, at 3pm.

Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Evelyn Josephine Finnegan (née Young)

Crumlin Village, Dublin / Killeshandra, Cavan

2nd August 2022 (Crumlin Village and formerly of Drumgoon, Killeshandra, Co Cavan) peacefully, in the care of the kind staff of ward 4, St James' Hospital.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Eugene, daughter Jean Bergin, sister Mai Brètin and son-in-law Seamus Carolan; Evelyn will be forever loved and very sadly missed by her loving family, children Pauline, Leslie, Colin, Celine, Geraldine, Mark and Lyn, sister Dorothy George, Connecticut, USA, sisters-in-law Patricia Singleton and Patsi Finnegan, brothers-in-law Pierre Brètin and Frank Fitzpatrick, daughters-in-law Siobhan and Kathy, sons-in-law Bill, Tom and Leonard, her adored 29 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

Funeral Mass on Saturday (6th August) at 10am in St Agnes' Church, Crumlin Village, followed by cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium for 11:30am.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Sean, sons Sean & Gerard, daughters Mary & Eileen, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours & a large circle of friends.

Removal on Saturday arriving at St. Patrick's Church, Kilnavart for funeral mass at 2 o'clock. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Michael Sheridan

Drumalee, Cavan and formerly Urney, Ballinagh. August 3rd 2022, peacefully in the loving care of his family and the dedicated staff at St. Joseph’s, Lisdarn and Surgical 1, Cavan General.

Beloved husband and best friend of the late Rita (nee Sexton) and brother of the late Tommy Charlie, Rose, Kathleen, Brigid and Mary.

Devoted father of Cathal (Linda) and Brigitta (Neil). Michael will be very sadly missed by his loving family, his adored grandchildren Dylan, Ava, Katie, Amy, Reece and the late Joshua, brother Sean Ballinagh, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, all his relatives, former colleagues and many, many friends.

Removal on Saturday to St. Felim’s Church, Ballinagh, travelling via Farnham St., Cavan and Ballinagh Road, arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm.

Following Mass, the cortege will travel to Cullies Cemetery, Cavan for committal prayers and burial in the family plot.

We would ask people attending the house and Church to be mindful of the presence of Covid at this time please, and take precautions.

Margaret (Peggy) Sheridan (née Leddy)

Aughterera, Crosserlough, Cavan

Thursday, 4th August (peacefully) at Esker Lodge Nursing Home, Cavan.

Predeceased by her husband Patsy, sisters Kathleen and Nancy, brothers Dan and Brendan. Sadly missed by her Sister Phylis Comiskey (Florida), sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 11am.

Interment afterwards in Ballinacree Cemetery.

Nora Connolly (née Tully)

Drumullen, Farnham, Cavan

Wednesday August 3rd 2022 peacefully in the loving care of her Family and the staff at Medical 1 Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by her brothers Pat and Michael and sister Mary Thornton.

Beloved wife and best friend of the late Tommy Connolly and devoted mother of Margaret (George) Martin (Gyorgui) Thomas (Jasmine) and James (Bernie). Nora will be very sadly missed by her loving family, her adored grandchildren Declan, George Jnr., Jennifer and Saragh, brothers John (Bunnoe, Co. Cavan) and Peter (England), sisters Bridget (Canada) and Kathleen Smith, Loughduff, Co. Cavan, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, all her relatives and many friends.

Nora’s remains will leave her home in Drumullen on Saturday at 11.30am and travelling to St. Patrick’s Church, Drumcor arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon.

Burial after Mass in the family plot in the adjoining cemetery.

July 21st. 2022 peacefully in Essex.

Predeceased by his Mam and Dad Jane and Pat and his brother Tony. Sadly missed by his children Jane, Conor and Jamzie and dearly missed by Caroline, his extended family and friends in New York, Essex and Cavan.

Removal from Reilly's Funeral Home, Kilcogy Village, on Saturday morning at 11.15am arriving Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mullahoran for 12 noon Funeral Mass.

Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Retired member of An Garda Siochana. Tuesday, 2nd August, suddenly at the Mater Private.

Predeceased by his father Walter, mother Kathy, sisters Margie, Bridie and Angela.
