Cloudy with chance of rain or drizzle

Damp morning, 'hazy' Summer evening forecast.

While Saturday morning will be dry and sunny in much of the rest of the country, cloudier conditions with some patchy light rain or drizzle are forecast for the likes of Ulster and Connacht.

But the joie de vivre of those enjoying a chance sighting of sunshine elsewhere this Summer will be short-lived, and those same cloudy conditions darkening local skies are then expected to “spread to all parts for a time” by early afternoon.

The sunshine though always comes after the rain, and Met Eireann joyfully predict it will become “drier again” by evening, even with some hazy sunny spells developing.

Highest temperatures 16 to 21 degrees generally, warmest in the southeast in light to moderate westerly winds.

Saturday night again will be “mostly dry with clear spells”, but cloudier with patchy drizzle at times near northwest coasts.

Lowest temperatures of 9 to 14 degrees, with a few mist and fog patches developing in a light westerly or variable breeze.
