Landmark local hotel up for sale

The Bailie Hotel has been put up for sale.

A landmark at the centre of Bailieborough town, it was placed on the market earlier this week with an asking price of €1.2 million.

The 18 bed hotel also comes with a conference room, restaurant, coffee dock, bar and nightclub. Sixteen of the bedrooms are ensuite.

Tobin Estate Agents, who are handling the sale on behalf of owner Patrick McEnaney, describes the hotel as “constantly upgraded and maintained to a high standard by the current owners” for over 20 years.

“The business is widely known for the quality of food, drink, and accommodation with an established loyal customer base”, the ad reads.

A well-known hub of both the local community and music scene, it’s hoped the new owner will continue to operate the business.

Totalling over 19,500 square foot, the hotel boasts a town centre location, LPG heating and cooking, three phase electricity, broadband throughout, mains water and sewage, a current seven day licence and fire certificate, a BER of D2 and a large car park and covered beer garden.

Offers are being accepted until September 2, with proof of funds required by the estate agent.
