Successful Drive Against Suicide returns

Drive Against Suicide, the highly successful fundraising effort, is back for a second year.

After raising €23,000 last year for SoSad in Cavan, cars of all sorts will take to the road again this weekend.

Drive Against Suicide describes itself as a retro car run but says all cars are welcome.

Taking place this Sunday, August 14 in Cavan, it starts from the circus grounds on the Cavan-Ballinagh bypass road.

Registration is €20 euro per car and starts from 10am. Organisers say the cars will be leaving at 11.30am for a drive through Cavan and Leitrim. There is a half way stop at Drumcoura city for live music and a BBQ.

There will also be a raffle on the day with prizes and also prize for car of the day.

If you can't make it on the day organisers say you can donate on the Drive Against Suicide Facebook and Instagram page or on their iDonate page.

All donations are going to SoSad Cavan.
