The death has occurred of Vincent Fitzsimons, ‘Green Field House’, Mullaghmore, Virginia, Co. Cavan, peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his brothers and sister.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Rosemary (nee Denning) and sons Colin and Michael, his cherished and adored grandchildren Eve, Ciara, Luke, Alanna, Elise and Beth, his daughters in law Dorothy and Lisa, brothers in law, sisters in law, his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Drumanespic and late of Main Street, Bailieborough, Cavan

Paula Clarke nee O'Brien, Drumanespic and late Main Street, Bailieborough, Co Cavan, died 29th August 2022 peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Philip and parents Margaret and Tommy. Deeply regretted by her brother T.J. (Angie), sisters Maura (Aidan) and Delores, mother-in-law Alice Clarke and extended Clarke family, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces and extended family and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 5pm to 8pm. Removal Wednesday morning at 10.40 o'clock to arrive at St Anne's Church, Bailieborough for Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock, burial afterwards in St Anne's Cemetery.

Josephine (Josie) Mc Ateer

Killedmond, Borris, Carlow / Dublin / Kildallan, Cavan / Fanad, Donegal

Late of Borris Lodge Nursing Home. Passed away peacefully on 27th of August. Pre-deceased by her husband James (Jimmy) Mc Ateer.

Loving mother to Gerry, Mary, Aine, Patrick, Maggie, Helena, Breda, Ita, Seamus, Barbara and Jenny. Cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. Much loved by daughter and sons-in-law, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Joyce's Funeral Home, Borris on Thursday 1st September from 3pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass at St. Fotchern's Church, Rathanna on Friday 2nd at 2pm followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary McEnroe (née Murphy)

Lurganboy, Virginia, Cavan

The death has occurred of Mary McEnroe (nee Murphy), Lurganboy, Virginia, Co. Cavan. Peacefully in Cavan General Hospital, surounded by her loving family. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Donal, brother Andy, sister Ann, brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing in O'Dwyers Funeral Home, Ryefield, Virginia (A82 C2N6) tomorrow, Tuesday, August 30th, from 5pm until 8pm. Removal from her residence this Wednesday morning for funeral mass in St Bartholomew's Church at 11am and interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. REV John James Wilson

Enniskillen, Fermanagh / Ballinagh, Cavan

Wilson – 23rd August 2022 (peacefully) at South West Acute Hospital Enniskillen, Reverend John James, Faithful Pastor and one of “Mr Wesley’s Preachers”, late of the Graan Abbey Care Home and formerly Irvinestown Fold.

Friends welcome to call at Ballycassidy House Funeral Home, 101 Killadeas Road, Enniskillen, BT94 2ES on Tuesday, 30th August, from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. A Service of Thanksgiving will take place in Irvinestown Methodist Church on Wednesday, 31st August, at 12noon, followed by burial in Ballintemple, Church of Ireland Churchyard, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan (arriving 3.45 pm).

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to the Methodist Child Care Society. Cheques should be made payable to W T Morrison, Funeral Directors, and sent to Ballycassidy House, Funeral Home, 101 Killadeas Road, Enniskillen, BT942ES.

The death has occurred of Lizzie Deighan (nee Woods), Ardaghey, Monaghan. Sunday, August 28th, peacefully at St. Anne’s Nursing Home, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan. Predeceased by her husband Shane, sisters Maureen Mc Glone, Bridie Woods and brothers Hughie and Jack Woods. Lizzie, deeply regretted and remembered with love by her son's Liam (Fionnuala), Aidan (Marie), daughters Maura (Abe Padgett), Bridie (Brendan Bishop), brother in-law, sister in-law, grandchildren Loretta, Stephanie, Charlotte, Niall, Brian, Colm, Grant and Aoibheann, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Lizzie will repose at the residence of her son and daughter in-law Liam and Fionnuala Deighan, Ardaghey (H18 N729), today, Monday, from 6pm until 10pm and again tomorrow, Tuesday, from 2pm until 10pm. Removal on Wednesday morning from the residence to arrive at St Macartan's Cathedral, Monaghan for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Latlurcan Cemetery.

House private to family and friends on Wednesday morning only please.

Noreen O'Dowd (née O'Connor)

16 Cherry Park, Clones, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Noreen O'Dowd,16 Cherry Park, Clones, Co. Monaghan. Noreen passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family Sunday 28th August. Predeceased by her much loved daughter Sonya, her sisters Molly and Tessie and her brother Tommy.

Beloved wife of Paddy and adored mother of Paul (Kathy), Paddy (Emma), Alan (Barbara), Martin (Yvonne), Darren (Carmel), Barry (Michelle), Karl (Joanne), Sandra and Shane (Lorraine). Noreen will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband, daughter, sons, daughters-in-law, 27 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, friends and by all who knew and loved Noreen.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Noreen will repose at the family home (house strictly private please) with removal on Wednesday morning at approx 10.40am (31st August) to arrive at the Sacred Heart Chapel, Clones for 11am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the Sacred Hearts Cemetery, Clones.
