A fine start to the weekend

Any mist patches will clear quickly this morning to leave a dry day with spells of sunshine, report Met Éireann for Ulster. Maximum temperatures of 18 to 20 degrees in mostly light breezes.

The solar UV index is moderate on Saturday and low on Sunday.

It will be dry early tonight with long clear spells. However, cloud will thicken from the south later in the night. Minimum temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in light to moderate southeast breezes.

Rain will spread from the south late on Sunday morning, turning heavy and persistent in places by afternoon. Isolated thundery downpours are possible along with the potential for localised flooding. Humid and breezy on Sunday with highest temperatures of 17 to 19 degrees in fresh southerly winds.
