Thundery downpours possible

RAIN Status yellow warning in place

Cloudy this morning with showery rain extending from the south to most parts and turning heavy and persistent, report Met Éireann for Ulster. They also have a status yellow warning in place for the entire Republic.

Thundery downpours are possible along with the potential for localised flooding. Some drier intervals will develop through the southeast of Ulster during the evening. Humid and breezy too with highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees as south to southeast winds increase moderate to fresh.

Further outbreaks of rain tonight along with a few heavy bursts. Relatively mild and humid overnight with lowest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees as moderate southerly breezes fall light and variable mist and fog patches will develop.

Tomorrow

On Monday, patchy rain will clear south through the morning with good sunny spells following for the rest of the day. Turning much fresher with highs struggling to reach 15 to 17 degrees in moderate northerly breezes.
