Maureen Fitzpatrick (née McCluskey)

Maureen Fitzpatrick (née McCluskey) Grilly, Belturbet, Co. Cavan and formerly Stonebridge, Co.Monaghan. Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, 20th September 2022. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Kathleen, brother Joe and sister Anne.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, husband Eagie, sons John and Hugh, daughter Joan (Healy), brothers Hugh, Francie, Edward (Ned) and Kevin, sisters Margaret, Kathleen, Joan and Sinead. Daughter-in-law Yvonne, son-in-law Brian, grandchildren Niamh, Fiona, Áine, Tom, James, Aodhla, Anna and Katie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Maureen will be reposing at her residence (H14 A384) this Wednesday evening from 5pm until 9pm, and again on Thursday from 5pm until 9pm. Removal on Friday morning at 11.30am to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Drumalee for 12 noon Funeral mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Andrew McCarthy, Jnr.,

13 Fairview, Cavan Town, Cavan

Andrew McCarthy, Jnr., 13 Fairview, Cavan, Tuesday, September 20th 2022, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Cavan General Hospital. Pre deceased by his son Damien. Andrew will be very sadly missed and dearly loved by his heartbroken parents Danny and Margaret, his daughter Sarah, brothers John and Ciaran and Ciaran’s partner Monika, sister Aisling, brother in law Barry and Fran, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and all his extended family and many friends.

May he rest in peace.

Andrew will repose at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan H12C821, on Thursday evening from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Walk through with no hand shaking please. Removal on Friday morning to St. Patrick’s Church, Drumcor arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Following Mass, burial will take place in the adjoining cemetery.

The family would like to thank each one of you for your co operation, support and understanding for Covid at this sad time and keep everyone safe.

Gretta McTiernan (nee Smith), died 16th.September 2022 in Heartlands Hospital, Birmingham. Late of 58 Matlock Rd. Tysley, Birmingham and Drumcalpin, Tullyco, Cootehill, Co. Cavan. Predeceased by her parents Tomas and Mary. Deeply regretted by her husband John, Sons Sean, Kevin, Anthony, Christopher and Daughter Donna, daughter-in-law Heather, son-in-law Jamie, Grandchildren Alana, Lauren and Rudi, Brothers Sean, Tomas, PJ, Oliver, Noel and Paul, sisters Eileen, Kathleen, Ann, Teresa and Delia, her Aunt Suey, Birmingham, Sisters-in-law, Brothers-in-law, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Relatives and large circle of friends.

Cecil Smyth, Wilton, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, died the 20th September 2022, peacefully at Lisdarn care unit in Cavan surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his son-in-law Thomas and brother Bobby. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Eileen, daughter Sandra, son Colin, daughter-in-law Angela, sisters Gladys and Violet (Derby, England), grandchildren Rachel, Michael, James and Cian, great-grandchildren Thomas and Tiernan, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral to arrive at Bailieborough Parish Church for funeral service Thursday, 22nd September, at 2pm with burial afterwards in adjoining graveyard. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to the Palliative Care Unit Cavan c/o funeral director or any family member. The death has occurred of Ann Cunningham. 'Laragh', Lisgall, Carrickmacross. 20th September 2022. Peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by her parents Frank & Alice.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her cherished family, her partner Jim, her niece Zita, Zita's husband Martin & their children Mikey & Emily, her sisters Mary Dolan, Fidelma Knight & Marcella McBride, her brothers Tom & Pat, her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives & friends.

Ann's funeral cortège will leave her home on Thursday, 22nd September, at 11am driving via the old Castleblayney Road, Main Street & Shercock Road, proceeding to Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan, for private cremation.

The death has occurred of Mary Duffy, Drumhowan, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan. Monday, September 19th suddenly at her residence. Predeceased by her parents Barney and Mary Treanor, her sister Frances and brother Eugene. Mary, deeply regretted and remembered with love by her family, her devoted husband Peter, daughter Sinead (Laura), son Sean (Lorraine), her cherished grandchildren Matthew, Harrison, Elloise and Maia, sisters Dympna, Breige, Catherine, Anna, Geraldine and Theresa, brother Brian, brothers in-law, sister in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Patrick (Patsy) Joseph Sherry, London and late of Legacurry, Tullycorbet, Co. Monaghan, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family 13th August. Predeceased by his wife Bridie (Duffy, Urcher), brothers John, Frank, Peter and Michael and his sister Kathleen (Tracey). Cherished and adored father of Colin and Brian. Patsy will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his sons, daughters-in-law grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his brothers Donal (Monaghan) Jim (Galway), sisters Brigid (Markey, Braddox), Margaret (Duffy, Monaghan) and Lizzy (Sullivan, Legacurry), sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and by all who knew and loved Patsy.

Patsy's Funeral Mass and cremation took place in London, Friday , 16th September. Pasty's Months Mind Mass and interment of ashes will take place in St Michael's, Chapel, Corcaghan on Saturday, 24th September, at 10am.
