Dry day with sunny spells and isolated showers

Weather update from Met Éireann

Today will be largely dry with sunny spells and isolated showers, most frequent in Ulster and Leinster. Cool and breezy in moderate to fresh and gusty northwest winds and highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees.

Generally dry and cloudy tonight, though isolated showers will continue to feed into Leinster and Ulster at times. Rain will push into the southwest by morning. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in moderate to fresh northwest winds.

Tomorrow will be cloudy in the west and southwest with rain developing in Munster and Connacht through the morning and afternoon, reaching west and south Leinster by evening. Further to the north and east will be drier with a few showers and sunny spells. Feeling cool in moderate to fresh northwesterly winds with highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees.

A cloudy night on Tuesday overall with patchy rain and drizzle in the west and southwest and scattered showers elsewhere. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in light to moderate northwest winds.

A good deal of dry weather on Wednesday and Thursday. Becoming more unsettled for the end of the week and over the weekend with a spell of wet and windy weather possible.

Becoming drier and brighter on Wednesday with scattered showers and sunny spells developing. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in moderate northwest winds.

Largely dry and clear on Wednesday night, though there is the chance of an isolated shower in the west and northwest. Cool with lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees in light northwesterly winds.

Thursday is expected a generally dry day with sunny spells, though there will be occasional light showers. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in light northwesterly winds.

There is some uncertainty in the forecast for the end of the week.

Current indications suggest that Friday will be a wet and rather windy day with rain spreading from the west and possibly turning heavy at times.

Remaining unsettled for the weekend with further showers and spells of rain spreading from the Atlantic.
