It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past 24 hours, as reported on RIP.ie

Angela Harte (née Nugent)

18 Lir Gardens keady, Keady, Armagh / Cavan Town, Cavan / Castleblayney, Monaghan

Harte (nee Nugent) (Keady, Co. Armagh), October 5th 2022, peacefully, in the loving care of her family, Angela RIP. Beloved wife of Benny and loving mother of Philomena (Rush), Kevin, Jim and Roisin (Young).

Her remains will leave her late residence, 18 Lir Gardens, Keady, on Saturday, to arrive at St Patrick's Church, for 10am funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted by her loving husband, sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers Francie, Jamesy, sisters Mona, Mary and Olive, sons in law Aidan and John, daughter in law Caroline and the entire family circle.

On her gentle soul sweet Jesus have mercy.

Wake open to visitors from 2pm to 9pm Thursday and Friday. House private on Saturday morning, please.

Damien Monaghan

Cavan Road, Virginia, Cavan / Navan, Meath

The death has occurred unexpectedly of Damien Monaghan, Cavan Road, Virginia, Co. Cavan and Navan, Co. Meath on 5 October 2022.

Beloved son of Pat Joe and Olivia and dear brother of Sinéad, Stephen and Jennifer. Sadly missed by his loving parents, sisters and brother, brother in law James and sister in law Nika, his nephews Adam, Daniel, Cian, Darragh and Ryan, his aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

Rest In Peace.

Shane Mullen, Laragh Crescent, Cavan Town, Tuesday, 4th October, suddenly at Cavan General Hospital. Beloved son of Martina and Eugene and dear brother of Stephen, Sophie, Darren, Paul, Philip, and Sonia. Sadly missed by his loving parents, brothers, sisters, and their partners, aunts, uncles, family and friends.

Kathleen Martin (née McGeough)

Highfield, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Kathleen Martin (née McGeough). Highfield, Carrickmacross. 6th October 2022. Peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family, in the wonderful care of the staff of Castleross Nursing Home, Carrickmacross. Predeceased by her husband Gerald, her parents Paddy & Annie and her sister Nan.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her cherished family, her son Oliver & daughter-in-law Sharon, her adored grandsons Gary & Ian, her sisters Maisie (Healy, Cork), Lilly (Inniskeen) & Rose (Martin, Carrickmacross), her brothers Peadar (Innniskeen) & Patsy (England), her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends & wonderful neighbours.

MAY SHE REST IN PEACE.

Kathleen will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Friday, 7th October, from 4pm until 8pm. Kathleen's funeral cortège will leave her home, Highfield, on Saturday, 8th October, at 10:30am proceeding on foot to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
