Martina Flaherty (née Gearty)

The Green, Lanesboro, Longford / Bailieborough, Cavan

Martina Flaherty (nee Gearty), Bailieborough, Co. Cavan and late of The Green, Lanesboro, Co. Longford, passed away peacefully at Cavan General Hospital on 12th October 2022. Predeceased by her parents Michael & Thelma and husband Padraig Flaherty. Sadly missed by her daughter Fiona and husband Steve, her partner Hugh, grandchildren, sister Jackie, bothers Mikie, Ian and Jody, sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews, grandniece, grandnephew, extended family and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Farrell's Funeral Home (N39 E761), Lanesboro on Friday 14th October 2022, from 4:30pm to 6pm. Removal to St Mary's Church, arriving at 6:30pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday, 15th October, at 12 noon, burial afterwards in Kilbarry Cemetery.

Frank Mc Nally

Market St., Cootehill, Cavan

The death has occurred of Frank Mc Nally, Bellamont Arms, Market St., Cootehill, Co. Cavan. October 12th 2022 peacefully at College View Nursing Home, Cavan. Predeceased by his parents John and Annie, brothers Peter, Seamus, John, Hughie and Eamon. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, sisters Anna (Dublin) Margaret (Maggie) (London), brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, loving nephews, nieces, extended family and a very large circle of friends.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home, Cootehill, Co. Cavan (H16 FD25) this Friday evening from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral cortège leaving Mullen’s funeral home on Saturday morning at 10.30 am to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Cootehill for 11am funeral mass. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Middle Chapel. Those who would like to attend but cannot do so may leave a message in the condolence section below please. The Mc Nally family would like to thank you for your cooperation and consideration at this difficult time

Lizzie McGovern

Mully Upper, Glangevlin, Cavan

Lizzie McGovern, Mully Upper, Glangevlin, Co. Cavan. Peacefully at Sligo University Hospital on October 12th.

Predeceased by her brother Owenie and sister Margaret.

Sadly missed by her sister Bea (Enniskillen), relatives, friends and neighbours.

Funeral Mass on Friday 14th October at 11am in St. Patrick's Church, Glangevlin, with Interment afterwards in adjoining Cemetery.

Face Masks are to be worn in the Church and no shaking of hands please.

The family would also like to thank everyone for their sympathy, support and understanding at this difficult time.

Heathervue, Greystones, Wicklow / Clones, Monaghan

Alastair McNeill of Heathervue, Greystones, Co. Wicklow & formerly Clones, Co. Monaghan. October 11th 2022 peacefully, surrounded by his family and in the loving care of all the staff of Wicklow Hospice Magheramore. Predeceased by his parents Seamus & Imelda (née Fitzpatrick) & infant brother Brian. Remembered with love by his family, devoted wife Mary (née Mulvihill), adored daughters Síona & Caríosa, siblings Attracta, Barry, Ursula, Paul, Ultan, Áine, Brendan, Fionnuala, Jackie & Karen, mother-in-law Teresa, Caríosa’s fiancé Maxime, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces & nephews, extended family & large circle of friends, not forgetting his four legged pal Alfie.

Evening Prayer on Friday at 6pm (October 14th) in The Holy Rosary Church, Greystones. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning (October 15th) at 11am after which Alastair will be laid to rest in Redford Cemetery.

Patrick (Paddy) Brady

Killycard, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Patrick (Paddy) Brady, Killycard, Shercock Road, Castleblayney, Monaghan. Paddy passed away peacefully in the loving care of his family and professional carers at his home, following a short illness.

Predeceased by his son Eugene Brady. Sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, their daughters Patricia, Louise, Eleanor and Theresa. A much loved father, grandfather and great grandfather. Fondly remembered and missed by his sister Margaret Brady (Formil, Shantonagh), brother Vincent Brady (Knockamaddy, Ballybay), extended family and circle of friends and neighbours.

Paddy will repose at his residence on Thursday from 3.00pm. House Private at all other times. Removal from his residence Friday morning to arrive at St Mary's Church, Carrickatee for Funeral Mass at 11.00am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to Castleblayney Cancer Society.
