John Hurt Environmental has gone from strength to strength over the last few years.

Serving domestic, commercial and industrial clients, the company offers drain cleaning, CCTV surveys, vermin control and a range of other services.

John Hurt Environmental’s ‘Jetvac’ system allows the team to look after narrow access works with the same combined power as a large-sized unit, with works carried out for clients on their septic tanks, gullies and more.

“We’re increasing turnover year on year. We’re trying to push the business to be a nationwide service provider,” says John.

"Already serving a good chunk of the country, the aim is to be able to get a technician to a site within two hours of a call. “We’ve gone from one van to 15 units and a couple of trucks. We’ve gone from one person and one van to those kind of numbers.”

And while the company has seen success, there are no plans to slow down.

A streamlined system, with most of the work being handled from the cloud, means work can happen more quickly and efficiently.

“95% of our workload is [coming in through] emails. People are emailing in. Our social media and Whatsapp platforms have people messaging and texting asking us to book a time to sort a drain.”
