Cavan Sports Partnership launches 2023 ‘Keep Well’ programme

Cavan’s ‘Operation Keep Well’ initiative will kick off on January 16, 2023, to encourage people to get active and Keep Well in 2023. The six-week initiative will take place throughout different communities and schools in Cavan as well as online.

Operation Keep Well is a physical activity, health and wellbeing initiative that aims to provide a variety of locally based, accessible activities for all people. Cavan sports partnership will also have a range of online activities that people can sign up to as part of its ‘winter initiative’ programme. New for 2023 - ‘Operation Keep well in Cavan-Schools’ will see primary and secondary schools get involved in the programme to offer sport and physical activities for students.

Registration opens on January 4, 2023, for online programmes via the Cavan Sports Partnership Facebook page, and on January 7, 2023, for the community-based programmes. See Cavan Sports Partnership or local Facebook pages for more information.

Congratulations to the following communities for delivering on the Keep Well 2023 programme: Bailieborough, Denn, Kildallan. Killeshandra, Kilnaleck, Lacken, Mullahoran, Mullagh and Templeport.

The initiative is part of the Government's National ‘Winter initiative’ campaign. The national campaign has been launched to get as many people as possible out exercising and participating in physical activity this new year.
