A WORD FROM THE CHEF

A perfect hot drink for winter time, this spiced hot apple juice is delicious and warming. Apple juice has some spiced added to it and warmed into a tasty hot drink. A perfect non alcoholic hot drink suitable for everyone and a great alternative to mulled wine! If you do want to spike it, add a shot of good quality whiskey or spiced rum to your cup!

One litre apple juice

2-3 cinnamon sticks (extra to add to each cup)

4-5 cardamom pods

4-5 allspice berries

One eating apple, sliced.

INSTRUCTIONS

Begin by adding all ingredients to a small saucepan.

Heat on low, stirring often for 5-10 minutes until hot.

If you are spiking it, pour your shot into a heat safe glass or mug.

Top up with hot apple juice.

Add a cinnamon stick and a few slices of apple to garnish.

Serve immediately.
