Personal highlight of 2022?

Was having writer and museum maker Rachel Morris visit my installation The Museum of Broken Things at Cavan County Museum.

I asked Rachel to write the text for the exhibition catalogue after reading her book The Museum Makers.

Best show you saw live in 2022?

MAM dance show by Teac Damsa was pure joyous.

Also loved the Druthaibs Ball by Array Colective in Galway Arts Centre,

AIdeen Barry's show Oblivion in Townhall Cavan and Don't Anticipate the Ending dance and online exhibition at the Museum of Literature Ireland.

TV/Cinema highlight?

Bad Sisters and Only Murders in the Building series.

Best book?

Tackled an epic book this year by reading Ulysses in 80 days - I read 10 pages a day with Trinity College online Book Club. Much to my surprise I enjoyed it, I found it funny, dark, confusing and wonderfully filthy in equal measures.

One to watch?

Keep a close eye on Killeshandra artist Laura O'Connor. She is part of Array Collective Belfast who won the Turner Prize in 2021.

Wish for 2023?

My wish for 2023 is to clear all the broken shite out of my studio and get back to making ceramics... and world peace obviously.
