Today will be cool and windy across Ulster with sunny spells and with showers spreading eastwards to all areas, some heavy with hail or thunder, according to Met Éireann. South to southwest winds will increase fresh, strong and gusty with gales in coastal areas of Co. Donegal. Highest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees.

Tonight will continue windy with clear spells and showers, some heavy with a continuing possibility of hail and thunder. Fresh to strong, gusty west to southwest winds with gales in coastal areas of Co.Donegal. Winds will ease somewhat overnight. Cold with lowest temperatures of 1 to 4 degrees.
