Patrick (Paddy) Daly

Clonkeefy, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

Patrick Daly (Paddy) Clonkeefy, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan, 11th January 2023, unexpectedly but peacefully at home. Predeceased by his son Barry, and his sister Margaret (Sheridan). Much loved husband of Bridget and father to Declan (Ger), Oliver, and Martina Smith (Kevin). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Luke, Conor, Lauren, Amy, sister Marie Donoghue (Mullagh) brother Brian (London), brother in law Patsy, sisters in law Kay and Eileen, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Gibney’s Funeral Home, Oldcastle (A82 D376) on Friday 13th January from 5pm until 8pm. Walk through only please. Funeral Mass on Saturday 14th at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Castlerahan (A82 YN44) with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House private for family time on Thursday.

Leroy Lynch

Drumnaveil, Cootehill, Cavan / Rockcorry, Monaghan

Leroy Lynch, Drumnaveil, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, formerly Rockcorry, Co. Monaghan, December 25th 2022. Tragically, following an accident in England. Predeceased by his grandparents David & Josephine Calvert, Andrew and Marie Lynch. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, father Pat and mother Dympna, brothers Gavin, Dean, sisters Janine and Davina, his children Calvin, Ellen, Jasmine, his partner Nicky, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, work friends, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home, Cootehill, Co. Cavan this Friday evening from 4 o’clock to 8 o’clock. Removal Saturday morning from his residence 127 Drumnaveil, Cootehill at 11:30am to arrive at St. Michael’s Church for 12 o’clock Funeral mass. Burial afterwards in St. Michael’s Cemetery.

Betty (Elizabeth) Mc Elroy (née Mc Carey)

Old Bridge Road, Cootehill, Cavan, H16 DC92

Betty (Elizabeth) Mc Elroy (nee) Mc Carey, Old Bridge Road, Cootehill, Co.Cavan (H16 DC92) January 11th 2023 peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her loving Husband Eamonn, brothers Malachy, Vincie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family sons Aiden and Barry, daughters Corinna and Dervela, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, her 9 grandchildren, sisters Dympna, Teenie, Sheila, Ita, Angela, brother Brendy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at her residence Friday from 2-8 also Saturday from 2-8. Removal Sunday leaving her residence at 1.30pm to arrive to St. Michael’s Church, Cootehill for 2 o’clock funeral mass followed by burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Family Flowers only please. House private at all other times and Sunday morning also.

Kathleen Moynagh (née Rossiter)

Ballyjamesduff, Cavan / The Ballagh, Wexford

Kathleen Moynagh (nee Rossiter), Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan and formerly, The Ballagh, Co. Wexford, passed, peacefully in her home on Monday, 9th January 2023. Predeceased by her husband Desmond, brothers Tom and John, sister Molly Connors and daughter in law Angela. Sadly regretted and missed deeply by her five sons, Dessie, Kevin, Brian, David and Raymie, her brother Peter Rossiter, daughters in law Niamh, Ditte and Judy, grandchildren, Barry, Ellie, Holly, Kane, Sam, Stevie, Alex and Liam.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Edmond (Ned) Burke

Foremass, Scotstown, Monaghan / Ballyshannon, Donegal / Watergrasshill, Cork

The death has occurred of Edmond (Ned) Burke, Foremass, Scotstown, Co.Monaghan and formerly Ballyshannon, Co.Donegal and Watergrasshill, Co.Cork. Wednesday, 11th January, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased and re-united with his cherished daughter Rosemarie. Sadly missed by his loving family, his wife Marie, sons Patrick and Finbarr, daughter Margaret, daughter in law Trish, son in law Mick, grandsons Rory, Malachi and Liam, brother James and sister Mary (Birmingham), relatives, friends and neighbours.

May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Edmond's remains will repose at his home on Friday, 13th January, house private to family only please. Removal on Saturday morning to arrive at St.Mary's Church, Urbleshanny for 11am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care c/o Peter McMahon, McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale or any family member.

Hugh DUNNE

DRUMNALIVE, Inniskeen, Monaghan / Inniskeen, Louth

The death has occurred of Hugh Dunne peacefuly in Our Lady of Lourdes hospital Drogheda surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late Hugh and Clara, much loved husband of Kathleen (Ann), Beloved father of Norbert (Nobby) and Gene. Doting grandfather of Hugh,Louie,Seán and Pearse, Sadly missed and rembembered with love by daughters in law Marissa and Brenda, sister Marie Faron, brother Kevin Dunne, predeceased by sisters Cecilia Dunne,Eileen Goodman and Bernadette McEntaggart, brothers in law, sisters in law, relatives and friends.

HUGH will repose at Magee Funeral Home Eircode: A91 HY72 from 7pm until 9pm Friday 13th and again Saturday 14th from 2pm until removal at at 6.15 pm to the Church of Mary Mother of Mercy, Inniskeen via Drumnalive arriving for 7pm, Funeral mass on Sunday morning at 10am burial afterwards in St Marys cemetery, Inniskeen.
