John Joe Donnelly

John Joe Donnelly, Pollareagh, Mountnugent, Co Cavan and formerly Aughamullan, Coalisland, Co Tyrone. Sunday, January 15th, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff at St Christopher’s Hospice, Cavan, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Pre-deceased by his parents John and Molly Donnelly, Aughamullan, Coalisland, Co Tyrone. Sadly missed by his loving family Caiti, (George Hanna), Brian (Isobel), Thomas (Noreen), Carol (Declan Hughes) and Kieran, nephews, nieces, and wider family circle.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, on Monday evening from 5.00pm until 7.00pm. Reposing at the home of his brother Brian from Tuesday afternoon Removal on Thursday morning at 11.15am to St Brigid’s Church Brocagh, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Sacred heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

Michael (Glennon) Gumley

Fairhill, Cavan

Michael (Glennon) Gumley, Fairhill, Cavan, Thursday, January 12th 2023, at his home. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Clare Gumley and his sister Ann. Michael will be very sadly missed and dearly loved by his children, grandson James, sisters Mary, Maggie,and Eileen, brothers Noel and Paddy, all his nephews, nieces, extended family in Ireland and the U.K. his good neighbours and many, many friends.

At Michael’s request, the funeral has taken place privately, with his family.

Betty Ann Gumley

Corstruce, Ballinagh, Cavan

Betty Ann Gumley, Corstruce, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan, Sunday, January 15th 2023, peacefully, in the loving care of her family and the staff of Surgical One, Cavan General Hospital. Beloved wife and best friend of Barney and devoted mother of Ann (Michael) and Michelle (Noel) adored grandmother of Catriona, Sarah, Leah, Aaron, Orlaith, and Aoife. Betty will be very sadly missed by her loving family, her brother Jimmy, nieces, nephews, brothers in law Michael and Tom, sisters in law Maura and Shirley, all her family circle and many friends.

May she rest in peace.

Betty will repose at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan H12 C821 on Monday evening from 6pm until 8pm. Family have requested a walk through and no handshaking please as Covid 19 is very much with us. Removal on Tuesday morning to St. Felim’s Church, Ballinagh, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial after Mass in the family plot in the adjoining cemetery.

Sunday 15th January 2023, peacefully at home in the loving care of his family after a long illness bravely borne.

Predeceased by his parents John F. and Jane, his sister Sr Kathleen and his brother Stephen.

Dearly beloved husband of Anne (née Byrne-Kingscourt), much loved father to Eimear (Shane McManus), Áine (Cian O’Brien), Conor (Leanne Connell) and Kilian (Jordan Lambe), and adored grandfather to Enda, Dearbhla, Senan, Ríain and Méabh. Sadly missed by his sister Carmel Fitzgerald (London), brothers Hughie (Ann-Oxford), Noel, Fr Tommy, Ben and Brendan (Anne), his brothers-in-law Pat and Seamus, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, a wide circle of friends and his Council and Cavan/Monaghan ETB colleagues.

Reposing at Smith's Funeral Home, High Street, Ballinamore (N41TD62) on this Monday evening from 5pm until 8pm. Removal from his home on Tuesday arriving to St. Mogue's Church Bawnboy for Funeral Mass at 1pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only, please.

Unexpectedly, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Predeceased by his parents Pat and Kathleen, sisters Eileen, Mary, Dooreen and brother Terry.

Sean will be very sadly missed by his brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Sean Rest in Peace.

Bridie Mc Gill (née Mc Mahon)

Monniell, Rockcorry, Monaghan, H18 DW27 / Donegal

The death has occurred of Bridie Mc Gill (nee Mc Mahon), Monneill Rockcorry, Co. Monaghan,H18DW27, Sunday, 15th January 2023, peacefully, at her residence, in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her loving husband Michael and brother Frank. Deeply regretted by her loving daughters ,Eileen Brady (Gerry), Grainne Connell (Owen), Laura Sivilay (Verat), sons Brian (Dolores), Fintan (Brid) and Conal, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, daughters in law, sons in law, relatives and a large circle of friends.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Remains reposing at her residence on Monday from 3 pm to 9 pm , with removal on Tuesday morning to St Mary's Church, Corravacan, arriving for 11o clock funeral Mass. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the Holy Trinity Cemetery. Family flowers only please House private on Tuesday morning to family and friends.
