It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past 24 hours, as reported on RIP.ie

Keenaghan, Kilmainhamwood, Meath, A82 EH77 / Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

Mary (May) Corbally (nee O’Dowd) of Keenaghan, Kilmainhamwood, Kells, Co. Meath, Formerly of Lackenclare, Ballyjamesduff, after 97 years of a healthy, happy and fruitful life. Peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of Kilmainhamwood Nursing Home. Predeceased by her husband Peter (Pee) and infant daughter Josephine, brothers, sisters, and son's in law, survived Marie (Condra), Breda (McGuinness), Henry, Eileen (Clarke), Kathleen (McEntee), Peter, Frank and John, and by her sister Nancy Gilsenan, Munterconnaught, her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sons in law, Mick, Eddie and Kenneth, and daughters in law Edel, Mairead and Anne and her nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

MAY SHE REST IN PEACE

Reposing at her residence tomorrow, Tuesday 16th of January, from 2:00pm to 9:00pm and Wednesday from 2:00pm until 5:30pm, with removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt arriving at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday the 19th of January at 10:00am with burial afterwards in adjoining graveyard. Family flowers only, donations to Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.

Sean Geraghty

Shantonnagh, Castleblayney, Monaghan / Oldcastle, Meath

Unexpectedly, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Predeceased by his parents Pat and Kathleen, sisters Eileen, Mary, Dooreen and brother Terry.

Sean will be very sadly missed by his brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Arriving at Lakelands Crematorium Cavan on Wednesday for Cremation at 2pm.

William (Willie) Irwin

Caddagh, Ballybay, Monaghan

Peacefully, on Monday 16th January 2023, in the Lisdarn Unit, Cavan Hospital. Willie will be dearly missed by his loving wife Florrie, all the family circle and also his good friends and neighbours.

Resting at his home until removal on Wednesday, 18th January, at 1.15pm, for Funeral service in First Ballybay Presbyterian Church, eircode A75 NA48, at 2pm. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Church yard.

Willie's funeral cortège will travel via Creevagh Cross, turning down the Clones Road, in Ballybay town, and on to First Ballybay Presbyterian Church.
