Olive Haverty (née Flynn)

Templeogue, Dublin / Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

HAVERTY (née Flynn), Olive, 25th February 2023, Orwell Park Avenue, Templeogue, D6W, formerly of Cormeen, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan. Suddenly but peacefully at home. Predeceased by her two little angel boys Mark and John. Beloved wife of Christy, loving and much-loved mother of Rachel. Olive will be forever loved and sadly missed by her husband and daughter, her brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

Kathleen Lannon (née Connolly)

Glasnevin, Dublin / Drung, Cavan

Lannon (née Connolly), Kathleen, late Nursing Staff, St. Brendan’s Hospital and formerly of Glasnevin, Dublin 9 and Drung, Co. Cavan, on 25th February, 2023 (suddenly) in the loving care of the staff of Cara Care, Northwood, Dublin 9. Beloved wife of the late Tom and loving mother of Declan, Bernie, Eithne and the late Jacinta. Sadly missed by her loving family, her sisters Jetty and Teresa, daughter-in-law Christine, sons-in-law John and Bernard, grandchildren Alice, Colm, Thomas, Katie and Nina, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand on Wednesday evening (1st March) from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Thursday morning (2nd March) to the Church of St. Columba, Iona Road, arriving for 12.30pm Requiem Mass, with Funeral thereafter to Glasnevin Cemetery.

Richard Magee

Drumgoa, Killeshandra, Cavan

Richard Magee, Melbourne and late of Drumgoa, Killeshandra, County Cavan, Wednesday 22nd February, suddenly. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Dick. Beloved husband of Olga and loving and devoted father of Conor and Aidan. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Martina, Caroline and Aine, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Rhona Rose McKiernan

Killyfana, Redhills, Cavan

Our darling Rhona Rose McKiernan has died, age 6, peacefully, with her Mammy and Daddy by her side, at Cavan General Hospital, under the kind and compassionate care of the Palliative Care team and the staff of the Paediatric Ward.

Beloved daughter of Sheila Reilly and Ross McKiernan, Rhona will be deeply mourned by her heartbroken parents, her brother Cillian, her grandparents Dympna Reilly & Barry Galligan, Mary & Gerry McKiernan, her aunts and uncles Rosaleen & Jim, Colin & Cora, Jennifer & Liam and William & Joyce, her cousins Sean, Tomás, Michaul and Iggy, her good friend Barry Coyle, extended family and a wide circle of friends. Rhona is predeceased by her aunt Dympna and grandfather Mícheál.

Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís.

Reposing at Finnegan's Funeral Home, Dublin Rd., Cavan, on Thursday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Removal on Friday morning from Rhona's home, arriving at St. Patrick's Church, Drumalee, Belturbet (H14CX74), for Mass of the Angels at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Rhona’s family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care Rhona received from the Palliative Care team and the staff of the Paediatric Ward in Cavan General Hospital as well as the work of the dedicated teams in Crumlin Hospital, Temple St. Hospital and St Luke’s.We are also very grateful for the overwhelming support we have received throughout Rhona’s illness.

Anne MORIARTY (née Smith)

Bayside, Dublin / Shercock, Cavan

MORIARTY (née Smith) Anne (late of Bayside, Dublin 13 and formerly of Annaghieran, Shercock, Co. Cavan) – On 27th February 2023 passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at Beaumont Hospital. Beloved wife of Eric and much-loved mother to Michelle and Anita; will be very sadly missed by her husband and daughters, sons-in-law Michael and Simon, grandchildren Scott, Lela and Luke, brother and sisters Teresa, Pat, Jenny and Carmel, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Removal to the Church of the Resurrection, Bayside on Thursday, 2nd March, for 10am Funeral Mass followed by cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Beaumont Hospital Foundation.

Tommy Shannon

Creenagh, Killeshandra, Cavan

Tommy Shannon, Creenagh, Killeshandra, Co. Cavan, Monday, February 27th. Peacefully in the Lisdarn Unit, Cavan surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents John and Sarah Bridget and brother-in-law Thomas.

Tommy will be very sadly missed by his daughter Emma, sisters Bernadette and Noreen, brother John, relatives, neighbours and his many, many friends.

Remains reposing in Lawlors Funeral Home, Ernehill, Belturbet (H14 R583) tomorrow Wednesday (1st March) from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Service in Derrylane Parish Church on Thursday afternoon (2nd March) at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard.

The death has occurred of Caroline Finlay, 16 Rockdaniel Road, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, Monday, 27th February 2023. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Margaret and her brother Anthony. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her family Ann, Bernie and Gerard, sister-in-law Sharon, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace

Reposing at her residence (16 Rockdaniel Road) on Tuesday evening from 7pm to 9pm and on Wednesday afternoon from 2pm to 8pm. Removal on Thursday to St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
