Power outage at Ballyjamesduff Water Treatment Plant

Mini salters deployed on Cavan roads today

Salting Roads

Meanwhile, outdoor staff attached to Cavan County Council have deployed mini salters on roads today.

A spokesperson for the local authority said: "Accumulations of snow were reported on all roads, but have cleared well throughout the morning. Mini salters have been deployed today following two treatments last night. Melt water and freezing temperatures overnight will present a further risk of black ice."
