Bright start but outbreaks of rain to develop

Outbreaks of rain will develop in the southwest before gradually extending across the country, reaching the northeast towards evening.

“Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees. Light to moderate westerly winds will back southerly in the afternoon.”

Overnight, the rain will turn heavy at times, with lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees.

The outlook for the week ahead is that Monday will be “dull and wet” at first, with rain tracking northeastwards, followed by sunny spells and widespread showers, heavy at times with thunderstorms possible.

Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh, southwesterly winds.
