The tender will replace another fulfilled by Louth County Council on behalf of the counties some years back.

A spokesperson for Cavan County Council explained that the tender is being run as a framework and five other named councils can also avail of the services as part of the same tender.

“The combined expenditure of all six counties listed on the framework is estimated to fall within the range of €50,000 to €150,000 per year. The initial term of any potential contract will be for a period of two years.”

The deadline for applications is April 14.
