Man arrested following Cavan drugs raid

The male in his 30s was arrested and detained for questioning at Ballyconnell Garda Station.

A man in his 30s has been arrested following a drug raid in Ballyconnell.

Recently, members of the Detective Branch attached to the Cavan District, accompanied by uniformed members, searched premises under warrant in the Ballyconnell area.

A quantity of cocaine, cannabis, cannabis oil, cash and other drug paraphernalia were discovered.

A male in his 30s was arrested and detained for questioning at Ballyconnell Garda Station and later released without charge.

A file is currently being prepared for the DPP and the investigation is ongoing.
