Carol Bent (née Conway)

New Street Mews, Virginia, Cavan

The death has occurred of Carol Bent (nee Conway), New Street Mews, Virginia, Co. Cavan and late of Drumheel, Virginia, Co. Cavan, at Cavan General Hospital, on 20 May 2023.

Predeceased by her parents John and Nancy, her brothers JJ and George and her sister Rose.

Much loved mother of Leighanne and Daven.

Deeply regretted by her heartbroken daughter and son, her sisters Marie, Josie, Patricia and her brother Frankie, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Liam has called for his Cavan girl.

Margaret passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday May 21st 2023.

Predeceased just a week ago by her devoted husband Liam, her sister Vivie, brothers Johnny ,Tommy, Raymond & Andy.

Sadly and dearly missed by her beloved sons and daughters, Edward (Deirdre), Lucinda (Gerard), Sabrina (Kieron), Michael (Geraldine) and Liam Og (Ciara), her cherished grandchildren Dillon, Katelyn, Brandon, Caolán, Joshua, Odhrán, Evie, Dáire, Ada & Robyn, her brother Martin, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.

May she Rest in Eternal Peace

Reposing at her home in Loreto Wood on Monday evening from 5pm until 8pm and again on Tuesday evening from 5pm until 8pm.

Removal from her home on Wednesday morning at 10.30am and travelling to the Cathedral of Ss Patrick & Felim, Cavan for Funeral Mass at 11am. Following Mass the cortege will travel to the crematorium for reception prayers and cremation.

John Ginger

Lakeview, Virginia, Cavan

The death has occurred of John Ginger, Lakeview, Virginia, Co. Cavan, peacefully at Virginia Residential Centre, Virginia on 21 May 2023, in his 96th year. Predeceased by his wife Kathleen, his sons John Jnr. and Victor and his daughter Diane. A much loved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.

Deeply loved and sorely missed by his daughter Kathy, his grandchildren Michelle, Mark, Tony, Claire, Stephen, Paul, Becky and Lucy, his great grandchildren and his great great grandchildren, John Jnr.'s life partner and good friend William, relatives and friends.

Resting at Matthews' Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road ( A82YV58) on Monday from 6 o'clock until 7 o'clock. A celebration of John's life will take place at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan on Tuesday at 11 o'clock followed by cremation.

Killyfassey, Mountnugent, Cavan

Gordon, Edwin William, Killyfassey, Mountnugent, Co. Cavan. Sunday, May 21st 2023 following a long illness bravely borne surrounded by his loving family; wife Iris, sons & daughters; Albert, Elaine (Douglas), Gillian (Andrew), Lorna (Alan), Alan (Roisin). He will be sadly missed by his much loved 8 grandchildren; Ben, Emma, Leah, Erin, Lauren, Ava, Abbie & Tommy, his cousins and many dear friends.

Resting at Briody's Funeral Home, Kilnaleck on Monday (22nd) from 5pm to 7pm. Removal from his home on Tuesday (23rd) at 1.30pm to St. Paul's Church, Ballymachugh for Funeral Service at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the Renal Dialysis Unit / Lisdarn Unit, Cavan c/o Briody's Funeral home or any family member.

Tom Mackey, Cloverhill, Lisnalea, Bailieborough, Co Cavan and formerly of Crossmolina, Co Mayo died on the 21st May 2023 peacefully at Sullivan Centre, Cavan surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his daughter Vanessa.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Rosaleen, daughter Karen, sons Gary and Gavin, sons-in-law Sean and Aidan, daughters-in-law Kelly and Deirdre, grandchildren Ryan, Madeline and Tyler, extended family, and wide circle of friends.

Brien Mc Bride, Market Street, Ballyjamesduff, Saturday the 20th of May, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Benny and May.

Deeply regretted by his brother Sean, sisters Margaret & Marie, sister in law Kit, nephews, Gareth, Quanah and Ouray, nieces, Wenona, Onida, Aoife and Esther, cousins, relations and his many friends.

The death has occurred of James (Jim) Reilly, Kildorough, Ballyjamesduff, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, Saturday, 20th May 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Margaret and John Reilly and grandchildren Omar and Elsie Rose.
