Brigade use thermal imaging in fighting fire

Members of Monaghan Fire Service used thermal imaging to assist them in fighting a fire.

The incident occurred in Monaghan Town on Thursday, and people were evacuated from neighbouring buildings.

The crews used thermal imaging cameras to assist them in where best to target their fire fighting efforts.

In a post shared on social media, Monaghan Fire & Rescue said: “Earlier today Monaghan fire service attended a fire in the centre of Monaghan town. Crews from Ballybay and Monaghan were in attendance. Firefighters in BA and using thermal image cameras extinguished the fire. All persons safely evacuated from neighbouring buildings.”
