Ramor Theatre to open tomorrow

Ramor Theatre in Virginia is set to reopen tomorrow with a bluegrass concert.

The theatre in the heart of Virginia has been closed for major renovations work and the creation of a new box office, dressing rooms an expanded bar and foyer, which wraps around the building and a new lift to provide greater accessibility.

Originally the reopening had been anticipated in April, but that was pushed back, reportedly over issues with obtaining a fire certificate.

After a number of acts have either been postponed or relocated to a different venue, the honour of opening the venue has fallen to bluegrass band 'Pilgrim St'.

"We're going to open her up with a bang," they promise on their Facebook page. "Don't miss out!"

The news was broke through an email circular by the Ramor Theatre team: "The eagerly anticipated reopening of the Ramor Theatre will happen tomorrow night with the wonderful Pilgrim St. taking to the stage at 8pm sharp.

"Doors open at 7.30pm and we very much look forward to seeing you there. Our new parking facilities are not yet available but there is ample street parking around the vicinity as always.

"Thanking you all for your continued custom and support."
