Josephine Brady (née O'Rourke)

Clare, Crosserlough, Cavan

Josephine passed away peacefully, in her 97th year, in the loving care of her family and nursing staff at Cavan General Hospital.

Wife of the late Bernard (Bennie), mother to Pat, Betty (Gene), Vincent (Sinead), grandmother to Martin (Christine), Siobhan (Gavin), Caroline, Cormac, Aisling, Niamh and Brien (Grace), great grand son Sean Cody, sister in law Rose O'Rourke. Deeply regretted by her family, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest in Peace

Reposing at Briody's Funeral Home, Killnaleck, on Wednesday, the 21st, from 5pm until 7pm. Removal on Thursday from her home to St Mary's Church, Crosserlough, arriving for requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Carrickallen Cemetery.

House private at all times, please.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to the Alzheimer's Society, care of any family member.

Violet Jane Clarke (née Smyth)

Wilton, Bailieborough, Cavan

Violet Jane Clarke nee Smyth, Derby, England and late of Wilton, Bailieborough, Co Cavan passed away peacefully in Derby on the 4th November 2022 in her 90th year. Predeceased by her husband Sam (Bracklin), brothers Bobby and Cecil and nephew Derek.

Sadly missed by her sister Gladys (Derby), nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives and many friends.

Violet's ashes with will be interred in Bailieborough Parish Church graveyard on Saturday the 24th June at 12 noon beside her beloved husband Sam.

Friends welcome and refreshments afterwards in the hall.

Philip Connolly

Kingscourt Road, Bailieborough, Cavan

Philip Connolly, Kingscourt Road, Bailieborough, Co Cavan died on the 19th June 2023 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his son Sean and loving brothers and sisters.

Sadly missed by his wife Margaret, daughter Clare, son-in-law Cathal, grandchildren Meabh and Philip, surviving sister Frances, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough on Wednesday 21st June from 5pm - 7pm. Removal on Thursday to arrive at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan for funeral and cremation at 11:30am.

House Strictly Private Please

No flowers please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care c/o any family member or funeral director.

John (Sonny) Sheils

Glan, Kilcogy, Cavan

Sonny died peacefully, on Tuesday 20th June 2023, at The General Hospital, Cavan, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his brothers Packie, Christy, Benny and Michael. Sadly missed by his loving wife Annie, children Brenda (Sean), P. J. (Kathleen), Sean (Dolores), Rose (Albert), Christy (Dympna), Paul (Mairead), brother Phil, brothers in law, sisters in law, his adored grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

May he rest in peace.

Removal from his home on Thursday evening, arriving Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mullahoran, at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday morning at 11am. Interment afterwards in local cemetery.
