Monaghan Lotto millionaire yet to come forward

Players in Emyvale urged to check their tickets from August 19th draw

Lotto players in Monaghan are being urged to check their tickets very carefully as one Emyvale player has yet to claim a million euro prize.

The Lotto Plus Raffle draw from Saturday, August 19th, made one lucky player at the local Centra a millionaire but they have yet to come forward.

The raffle typically sees between 60 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw but that particular draw saw one ticket win an additional prize of €1M due to a special raffle event.

The winning Raffle number was: 3249

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on Thursday, August 17th, at Centra on Main Street in Emyvale, Co Monaghan.

Shop owner Glyn Williams is now encouraging all of his customers to check their tickets as soon as possible as one player is now a millionaire: “It’s been three weeks since the big draw and there’s still a lot of excitement around the town about the win. We have had customers in to congratulate us for selling the golden ticket and of course to check their own tickets.

"We just hope that the winner does make contact with the National Lottery soon and collect their prize. They might not even know that they have a ticket that’s now worth €1 million. If they haven’t realised their luck just yet, they are in for a huge surprise!”

Ticketholders have 90 days from the date of the draw to claim their prize, which means that the deadline for this prize is close of business on Friday, November 17.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 36 years ago. In 2022 alone, €259 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.

The National Lottery urges people to play their games responsibly - play for fun.
