Works continue to fix fault at Cootehill water plant

Uisce Éireann is continuing to work to restore full normal water supply to homes and businessesin the Cootehill area following a process fault at the local Water Treatment Plant.

As a result of the fault, identified early yesterday, October 6, water supply to Cootehill and surrounding areas was impacted.

Crews were dispatched to the site to work to restore normal water supply for impacted customers.

An alternative water supply was made available at the Darley National School, with customers reminded to use their own clean and sanitised potable containers when taking water from the alternative water supply.

Uisce Éireann says it understands the inconvenience when an outage occurs and thanks customers for their patience while we work to restore normal supply to impacted customers.
