Retailer Eason says it has acquired additional stock of businessman Sean Quinn's new book ahead of a personal signing planned for their Cavan store at the weekend.

At present, the book 'In My Own Words' is reportedly sold out in many shops around the county.

Published by Red Stripe Press the book is already listed top of many best selling lists.

It follows a celebratory launch at the Slieve Russell Hotel, a venue he once owned, last month, where the former billionaire arrived clutching the hand of his grandson Conor.

It was an emotional return the 77-year-old admitted, with standing room only at the hotel, once a jewel in the crown of Quinn's business empire which stretched from building materials to plastics.

The Eason Cavan book signing is scheduled to take place at 12 noon on Saturday, October 14.

A spokesperson for Eason told the Celt: “We're always delighted when a local book does well. We have acquired additional stock of In My Own Words this week and are currently liaising with the book’s publisher to secure more – we  are confident there will be plenty of stock available ahead of the book signing on Saturday 14th October."
