'Nothing untoward' over security alert in Lisnaskea

The PSNI says there was "nothing untoward" about a "suspicious object" in Lisnaskea yesterday, the discovery of which prompted a security alert..

Cordens werre put in place in the Fermanagh town following the alert on Thursday afternoon after an "object" was found in the Knocks Road area.

Today, Friday, the PSNI confirmed that the "suspicious object has been declared to be nothing untoward" and thanked the public for their patience.

"A security alert in the Knocks Road area of Lisnaskea has now ended.

"The suspicious object has been declared to be nothing untoward.

"We would like to thank the public for their patience and cooperation."
