Annmarie Carolan began a brave journey 20 years ago when she established Ireland Discovery Tours as a sole trader business. It took some time for the business to get recognised but, through advertising in local newspapers, on social media and via word of mouth, the name and the business began to grow.
Annmarie is responsible for all aspects of the bookings, day-to-day running of the business and delivering the tours to clients. Using the services of good local coach companies, Ireland Discovery Tours can deliver a wonderful service to its clients throughout the season.

She is hopeful too of expanding further her Cavan offerings as she engages with the Geneology Department at Johnston Library.
Annmarie extends her services to ad-hoc day trippers coming to Cavan to explore the history of the town and county. This can include a walking tour of the town or a chauffeur driven tour around the area.
“People visiting Cavan are coming from all over the world - Canada, America, Australia - and many of them are looking for their roots locally,” she says.
“My business opens up a whole new experience for people. They can engage in walking tours of Cavan Town and check out places like the wonderful Farnham Estate. I showcase the very best of what we have to offer here in Cavan.”
