Dessie Harrington

Drumkeeran, Killeshandra, Cavan

Dessie Harrington. Hilltop, Drumkeeran, Killeshandra, Co. Cavan, Tuesday, December 19th, peacefully, in Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Kathleen. Dessie will be very sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend Betty, daughter Olivia, sons Adrian, Des junior, (Biddy) and Rónán, sister Vera, brothers Frank and Paddy (Bernie), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and his many many friends.

Dessie will be resting at the family home (H12 W7D4) today, Wednesday, from 4pm until 9pm. Removal from the family home on Thursday, 21st Dec., at 12.30pm, arriving at Church of Immaculate Conception, Coronea, at 1pm for Requiem Mass followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Les (Leslie) McCormack

Kilians Court, Mullagh, Cavan / Derrylin, Fermanagh / North Circular Road, Dublin

Peacefully, in his 80th year at home, surrounded by his loving and heartbroken family. Predeceased by his beloved son Patrick and siblings Mary, Paddy and Carmel. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his devoted best friend and wife of 52 years, Noreen (née Phillips), his cherished children, Sharon McHugh (Boyerstown, Navan), Mark (Swords, Dublin), Lesley-Anne McCabe (Ratoath, Meath) and Stephanie Farrelly (Mullagh). His brothers and sisters, Desmond, Owen, John, Brendan, Maurice, Rhoda, Bridie, Margaret and Josie. His adored grandchildren, Amy, Philip, Katie, Sarah, Anna, Patrick, Oisin, Finn, Noah, Juliet, Calin, Quinn, and Isabella (Petty Bo). Sons in Law Paschal, James and Dermot, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and his many friends, especially his 2 four legged companions, Spot and Teddy.

Reposing at The Village Chapel Of Rest, Mullagh, A82DE28 on Friday evening December 22nd from 5pm to 8pm. Requiem Funeral Mass on Saturday morning December 23rd at 10am in St. Kilian's Church, Mullagh, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Anne Smith, St Phelim's Court, Cavan and formerly of Glenside Road, Cavan. Tuesday December 19th, peacefully after a long illness, bravely borne, in the wonderful care of the staff of Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents, John P. and Rose Smith, her sister Gabrielle and her brother John F. Anne will be very sadly missed by her heartbroken daughter Críodha, brother Rory, brother in law Philip, sister in law Susan, uncle Gerard, aunt Frances, her niece Louise and nephew Conor, cousins, neighbours, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan (H12RF78) on Thursday, December 21st, from 5.00pm to 8.00pm. Removal on Friday via Glenside Road and Swellan, to the Cathedral of Ss Patrick & Felim, Cavan arriving for Funeral Mass at 12.30pm, followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan.

Bernadette (Bernie) Biggins

Bridge Street, Headford, Galway / Ballybay, Monaghan

Bernadette (Bernie) Biggins (née McGeough), Bridge Street Headford Co. Galway and formerly of Ballybay Co. Monaghan, 19th December 2023 in her one hundredth year, peacefully at UHG after a short illness. Deeply regretted by her beloved family, her sons Finbarr and David, daughters-in-law Mary and Esther, grandchildren Edel, Mark, Leanne, Laura, Conor, Thomas, Eva and great grandchild Sophia, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours, carers and friends. Bernie is predeceased by her husband Paddy, daughter Helen, sisters and brothers.

May her gentle soul rest in peace

Reposing at Carey’s Funeral Home, Headford (H91 E6X9) on Thursday evening from 6pm until 7.30pm. Removal from her home on Friday morning, to arrive at St Patrick and St Cuana Church (Corner Chapel H91 V9F7), for requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Cargin Cemetery. Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by her son Kieran, her parents Michael and Minnie and her brothers Michael and Peadar.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Jimmy, sons Seamus (Trish), Michael (Michelle) and Damien (Linda), daughters Caroline (Mickey) and Aileen (Noel), grandchildren, sisters Kitty (Deravoy) and Bernadette (Cortolvin Road), sister in law Annie (Toneyfinnegan), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
