A Cavan teenager missing since before the weekend has been found safe.

In a statement issued this morning An Garda Siochana said that Jennifer Halligan has been "located safe and well".

"An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance."

The 15-year-old girl was reported missing from Ballyconnell on Friday, January 6.
