Why are you running for local public office?

I want to enhance the lives of people locally and the area in which we live.

What are the main issues in your area?

The need is there for a by-pass in Virginia, more housing and of course the environment.

How will you ensure that public transport services reach all residents equitably and effectively?

I will push for more affordable and accessible bus routes and local links.

How would you like to see policing transformed in your area?

I want to ensure that increased numbers of gardaí are assigned.

How will you use the full range of your municipal district resources to increase access to affordable housing?

To push for more social housing and the continuation of grants for derelict buildings. The Virginia by-pass will also enhance the town and the county of Cavan.

Have you or the party any thoughts on how your community can be protected from far-right ideology?

We need better education and more controls on social media.
