Design team sought for BJD hub

Tenders have been issued for the appointment of a design team to oversee the redevelopment of the former Percy French Hotel in Ballyjamesduff as a community and enterprise Hub.

The circa €9M project is part of a major regeneration programme for the historic market town. Once built, the facility will act as focal point for economic and tourism activity in the area.

The plans also provide for a café, office space and remote working facilities.

This week Cavan County Council tendered for an architect-led design team to oversee the 'proposed construction works stages (ii) to (v)' and covering architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services, as well as design preparation and estimation of costs.
