It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past 24 hours, as reported on RIP.ie

Tom Brady

Drumcondra, Dublin / Mountnugent, Cavan

Brady, Tom (Drumcondra, Dublin 9, and late of Tonagh, Mountnugent, Co. Cavan) on 7th February, 2024 (peacefully) in the company of his family and the staff of the TLC, Santry. Sadly missed by his loving wife Gloria, daughter Áine, sons John, Cormac and Kevin, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, extended family, relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand, on Friday (9th February) from 5pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday (10th February) at 10am in the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, Marino, followed by Funeral to Ballinacree Churchyard, Oldcastle, Co. Meath.

James (Jimmy) Mc Avinney

Bullogbrean, Clones, Monaghan, H23 XP49

Peacefully at his residence, today, Wednesday 7th February 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents James and Jane, brother Peter and his wife Eileen. Sadly missed by his wife Anna, daughter Anne (Sean), sons Brian (Anne), Peadar (Angela) and his sister Margaret (Vincent), Blackrock, Co. Dublin, all the extended Monaghan family, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace

Reposing at his residence (H23 XP49) on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th February from 3:00pm until 9:00pm. Family time on Saturday morning, please. Removal on Saturday 10th at 10:15am to arrive at the St.Tierney's Church​​​​​​​, Roslea, Co. Fermanagh, for 11:00am Requiem Mass followed by Private Cremation in​​​​​​​ Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan.
