School bus scheme for 'everyone' to be discussed at today's council meeting

The impact of suicide in the county will also be raised

The monthly meeting of Cavan County Council takes place this afternoon at the chamber in Cavan Courthouse.

There are a number of interesting items up for discussion including calls on the Government to introduce a school bus scheme that facilitates all families that want to avail of it.

Also, this afternoon, Diarmuid O’Callaghan and Irene McCausland of DKIT will present their strategic plan for 2023-2028; Cllr John Paul Feeley will call on the Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly to introduce a vaccination programme for Shingles; and Cllr Madeleine Argue intends to raise “the terrible impact” of suicide in Co Cavan.
