James (Jim) Gordon, Tullyboy, Crosserlough, Co. Cavan. Monday, February 19th (peacefully) in his 92nd year surrounded by his loving family at home. Dearly missed by his adoring wife Evelyn, loving family; Sharon, Lester, Gwyneth, Allison and Colin, sons-in-law & daughters-in-law; Dessie (Higgins), Irene, Mervyn (Busteed), Brian (McCormack) and Suzanne, his grandchildren; Megan & Sorcha Higgins, Jamie, Jeff, Zeta & Zara Gordon, Josh, Ethan & Oniesa Busteed, Brianna, Jocelyn, Giles & Lurene McCormack, Jonathan, Lucy and James Gordon.

Reposing at Briody's Funeral Home, Kilnaleck (A82 DX59) on Wednesday (21st) from 5pm to 7.30pm. Funeral Service in St. Paul's Church, Ballymachugh on Thursday (22nd) at 2pm with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Palliative Care or St. Paul's Church, Ballymachugh c/o Briody's Funeral Home. House strictly private. Patrick Smith

O'Raghallaigh Park, Cavan Town, Cavan

Patrick Smith (Wednesday 20th December) Queensland, Australia and formerly of Cavan Town, Co. Cavan. Patrick leaves behind three cherished children: Benjamin, Tadhg and Finley. Patrick was a loving husband to Alexia, beloved son of Felicity and John and adored brother to Lisa, Killian, Johnny, Conor and Nicola.

Requiem Mass on Saturday, 24th February, in the Cathedral of SS Patrick and Felim, Cavan, at 11.00am (9.00pm Australian time)

Stramaquerty, Virginia, Cavan / Bailieborough, Cavan

The death has occurred of Eugene (Janie) Smith, Stramaquerty, Virginia, Co. Cavan and late of Drumbannon, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, peacefully at his daughter Mary Delaney's home, surrounded by his loving family. Recently predeceased by his brother Vincent (London), his wife Mary, his grandson Simon and grand daughter Emma and great grandson Daniel, his sister Mary and brothers Peter and Nicholas. Sadly missed by his loving daughter Mary and his son Patsy (Carlanstown), his son in law Joe, his daughter in law Mary, his grandchildren Sharon (Finnegan), Wayne, Peter, Donna and Kelly, his fourteen great grandchildren, his sisters Eileen and Peggy, brothers in law, sister in law, nieces, neph­ews, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Eugene will repose at Matthews Funeral Home on Wednesday (A82YV58) from 4pm until prayers at 8pm. Removal to St. Ultan's Church, Killinkere on Thursday for 11.30am Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in St. Anne's Cemetery, Bailieborough. House strictly private at all times please.

The death has occurred of Agris Vitte, Ardkill Place, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan, Saturday February 17th, suddenly at his home.

Agris will be very sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his wife Svetlana, daughter Kristine, son Miks, mother Maruta, sisters, all his extended family and many friends.

May His gentle soul rest in peace and eternal happiness.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Rd, Cavan (H12 RF78), on Wednesday 21st from 6pm until 7.30pm, followed by funeral service.

Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons Michael and Paul, daughters in law Patricia and Irena, her devoted grandchildren Niamh, Aoife, Michael, Christopher and Anna, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Rosetta Barry (née Harris) Moig East, Pallaskenry, Co. Limerick on 20th February 2024 and formerly of Fintully, Clontibret, Co. Monaghan.

Rosetta passed peacefully at Milford Hospice after a long illness, bravely borne with dignity and courage.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by husband Michael, daughters Lisa and Laura, son Conor, grandson Finan, sons in-law Kevin and Russell, daughter in-law Luciana.

Predeceased by her mother Rosetta, father Thomas, brother Gerry. Lovingly remembered by brothers Vincie, Malachy, sisters Marie and Bernadette, brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends and neighbours.

May she Rest in Peace.

Reposing at St Mary's Church, Pallaskenry, Co. Limerick on Wednesday, February 21st, from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.

Funeral will arrive on Thursday, February 22nd, at St Mary's Church, Pallaskenry, Co. Limerick for requiem mass at 12.00pm. Funeral afterwards to Kilcornan Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Lil) Donoghue (nee Saunders), 18 St. Macartan’s Terrace, Monaghan. Monday 19th February, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Pre-deceased by her husband Cathal and son Ciaran. Lil will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her loving family, her sons Paul (Gemma), Vincent (Carrie) & Donal, her daughter Patricia (Sean), grandchildren Bronagh, Lorcan, Danielle, Christian, Dylan, Nicholas, Jake, Molly, Grace, Emily, Holly & Elle and great-grandchildren Rory & Aoife, her sisters, Rosaline (Jimmy Treanor) & Maureen and brother Tommy, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Lil’s remains will repose at her residence on Tuesday from 5pm – 9pm, house private at all other times please. Removal on Wednesday evening to arrive at St.Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan for evening prayers at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 11am. Burial afterwards at Calvary Cemetery, Latlurcan. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Crocus Monaghan c/o Peter McMahon, McMahon’s Funeral Home, Emyvale or any family member.

Lil's family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Cavan General Hospital who looked after her so well during her illness.
