Nuálach wins LAMA award

Nuálach Automation Ltd was awarded the Best Micro Start Up Award at the prestigious All Ireland Community & Council Awards held in the Royal Dublin Convention Centre recently.

Entrepreneurs Evan Roarke and Kealan O’Connell established Nuálach Automation Ltd in January 2021. The Virginia-based start up employs five people and works with companies in the development and design of bespoke automation equipment.

Co-founder Evan thanked Cavan County Council and the Local Enterprise Office for their support to date. He also thanked the Nuálach Automation team for their “continued efforts and support which is enabling our company to grow from strength to strength”.

Speaking at the Awards Ceremony, council Cathaoirleach Philip Brady said that Nuálach Automation Ltd represents the ambition of LEO Cavan and Cavan County Council to “drive further innovation and provide high quality jobs” for graduates and to attract more inward investment to Cavan.

Eoin Doyle, chief executive, Cavan County Council, added that the local authority was delighted to have been shortlisted in three categories at this year’s LAMA Awards. Cuan Cancer Care was shortlisted for Best Community Health Initiative and the council itself was shortlisted for the Local Authority Decarbonisation Award.

“This award [to Nuálach] is well-deserved recognition of both the company and its founders and also the ongoing efforts of Local Enterprise Office Cavan in supporting local businesses,” said Mr Doyle.
