Philomena Finegan

Lisnalaoi, Bailieborough, Cavan / Loughglynn, Roscommon

Philomena Finegan, nee Twohey, Lisnalaoi and Main Street, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan and formerly of Loughglynn, Co. Roscommon died on the 4th March 2024, peacefully, at home, in her 94th year, with her family and her carer Maria Fe by her side. Predeceased by her loving husband Paddy.

Philomena will be sadly missed by her loving family, Brendan, Anne, Patricia, John and Ita, her carer Maria Fe, her sister Brennie Creighton (Loughglynn), son-in-law Roy, daughter-in-law Claudia, grandchildren Daragh, Kate, Niall, Karina, Stephen, Orla and Tom, great grandchildren Tom, Hannah, Adeline, Juliet and William, her sister-in-law Maeve Finegan (Nobber), nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough on Wednesday, 6th March, from 4pm - 7pm. Removal from her residence on Thursday, 7th March, at 10:50am to arrive at St. Anne's Church, Bailieborough for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Anne's Cemetery. (The webcam in St. Anne's Church is out of order).

Derek Loughlin, Ardkill Place, Ballinagh and Swellan, Cavan. Monday 4th March peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

Sadly missed by his loving family Justin, Barry, Shane, Kelly, Grace, Angelo, Ava and Zoe, brothers Dominic, Richard and Ian, brothers in law, sisters in law, grandchildren, relatives and many friends.

Christy McCaffrey

Templeogue, Dublin / Stradone, Cavan

Christy McCaffrey, Templeogue, Co. Dublin, late of Stradone, Co. Cavan and retired member of An Garda Siochana, passed away peacefully on March 2nd 2024 at the great age of 92 yrs, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of the late Jean and father of Mary, Jim, Fr. Kilian, Chris Jr, Helen and David, and wonderful grandad to Kerrie, Lauren, Ryan and Aidan.

Deeply regretted by his brothers and sisters Sr. Helen MSHR, Rita, Florrie and Austin and predeceased by Fr. Jim, Peter, Tommy, Dan, John, Eilish, Patsy, Breda, and Baby Austin.

Will be forever loved and very sadly missed by his extended family, daughters-in-law Anne and Sandy, son-in-law Wolfgang, brother-in-law Christy Higgins, sisters-in-law Mary and Barbara, many nieces and nephews, members of An Garda Siochana, close neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home in Templeogue on Tuesday (March 5th) from 4pm to 7pm.

Removal on Wednesday morning (March 6th) to the Church of St. Jude the Apostle, Orwell Park, Templeogue, where his Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11am and may be viewed live here.

Burial afterwards in Kilmashogue Cemetery.

The untimely and sudden death has occurred of Pete Keenan, Coretard, Threemilehouse, Co. Monaghan, Monday 4th March at his home. Predeceased by his father Peter, mother Mary Kate, sister Margaret Mc Cague, brothers James Hughes, & John (England) and also today his father in law John Bloor.

Pete's wife Marie, children Christian, Siobhan, Caroline, Aisling, Emily, and Gemma will always adore and love him. Pete's daughter & sons-in-law, his 13 grandchildren, together with his sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, and large circle of friends, will always treasure their beautiful memories of him.

The death has occurred of John Bloor, Coolcorragh, Threemilehouse, Co. Monaghan and formerly South End, Essex, England in his 94th year, Monday 4th March, peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff in Drumbear Nursing Home. John will fondly be remembered by his life long companion Molly, his devoted children, Ivan, Paddy, David, Leslie, Amanda, Marie, Claire & Nora, his cherished grandchildren & great-grandchildren, his nieces, nephews, and all who knew and loved him.

*Due to the sudden passing of his Son in law Pete Keenan, Johns funeral arrangements has changed*

John will now repose at Clerkins Funeral Home, Milltown, (H18YF22) on Tuesday, the 5th March, from 5pm with concluding prayers at 9pm. Johns funeral procession will arrive on Thursday morning (7th) to St Marys Chapel, Threemilehouse for 11am funeral mass, with cremation afterwards in Lakelands Crematorium in Cavan. Funeral Mass will be live streamed and can be viewed by clicking here.

Maxie (John) Breakey

Termadown, Monaghan Town, Monaghan, H18EA00

Maxie passed away peacefully in the loving care of his family.

Maxie was predeceased by his wife Mina, sister Winnie, brothers Leslie, Vicky, Dawson and Marshall. Sadly missed by his loving son David, daughter in law Hilary, granddaughters Lauren (Aidan), Holly (Gregory), Rachael (Bryan) and Rebecca (Christopher), cherished great grandchildren Harry, Sarah, Emily, Finley, Freddie and Tilly, his loving sister Iris Hackett and sister in law Dolly Breakey, Nieces and Nephews and the wider family circle.

Maxie's funeral service will take place at 2 pm on Wednesday 6th March in First Monaghan Presbyterian Church with Burial afterwards in Coolshannagh graveyard. Callers welcome to the family home at Termadown today, Monday, from 4pm to 9pm, Tuesday from 2pm to 9pm. Callers are asked when calling to the family home please enter from the Brandrum, Rossmore park side and exit via Threemilehouse side as a one way system will be in place. House private at all other times.

The death has occurred of Sheila Ward nee Kilbane, Rarutra, Emyvale, Co.Monaghan and formerly Ballinasally, Keel, Achill, Co.Mayo. Sunday 3rd March peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Sheila will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband Eugene, daughters Diane (Trevor, Carlow), Evelyn (Barry, Ardee) and son Sean (Mary, Emyvale), grandchildren Max, Amy, Niamh, Clodagh, Aoibheann, Labhaoise, Orlaith, Iollan and Flynn, her sister Teresa, brother in law, Padraig, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Sheila’s remains will repose at her residence on Monday evening for family, friends and neighbours and on Tuesday evening from 6pm - 9pm at McMahons Funeral Home, Emyvale, H18 FK80. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 11am at St.Patrick’s Church, Corracrin followed by private cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.
