Derek Loughlin, Ardkill Place, Ballinagh and Swellan, Cavan, Monday, 4th March, peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Sadly missed by his loving family Justin, Barry, Shane, Kelly, Grace, Angelo, Ava and Zoe, brothers Dominic, Richard and Ian, brothers in law, sisters in law, grandchildren, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, on Wednesday evening from 6.00pm until 8.00pm with removal on Thursday morning at 10.30am to the Cathedral of SS Patrick and Felim, Cavan, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.00am, followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan.

McDonald, Matthew, (Raheny, Dublin formerly Killester, Dublin and Belturbet, Co Cavan, Ex C.I.E) passed 3rd March 2024, peacefully at home. Predeceased by his loving wife Evelyn, very sadly missed by his children Anita, Hilary, Clare, Niamh, David and Paula, sons-in-law Tony and Niall, Daughter-in-law Gwen, his grandchildren Jane, Matthew, Kate, Evie, Rachel, Lisa, Thomas, and Xavier, great grandchildren Lucas and Jessica, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and wide circle of friends.

Gerarda (Arda) Mealia (née Coleman), late of Shankill, Co. Dublin and formerly of Cavan Town and Dundalk, Co. Louth, passed away peacefully on 4th March, 2024, in her 93rd year, in the wonderful care of Blackrock Hospice. Beloved wife of the late Paddy, dearly loved mother of Gary, Derek and David, much loved Granny of Robert, Darragh, Mark, Hannah, Shaun, Harry, Will, Ryan, Lauren and Amber, lovingly remembered by her daughters-in-law Eithna, Liz and Nicola, cousins Eileen and Teresa, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Wednesday (6th March) from 7.00pm-8.30pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday (7th March) at 11.00am in St. Anne’s Church, Shankill followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Blackrock Hospice.

Sheils, Augustine (Gus), Grace Park Heights, Drumcondra, Dublin and formerly of Loch Gowna, Cavan, Tuesday, March 5th 2024. Beloved husband of Rosaleen and dear father of Audrey, Eamonn and Sonya. Pre-deceased by his brothers Sean and Paddy, sister Nancy and sister-in-law Chris.

Sadly missed by his brother Seamus, sisters; Kathleen and Rita, sisters-in-law; Eileen and Ann, sons-in-law; Paul and Vik and daughter-in-law Yumi. Greatly missed by his adored grandchildren; Skye, Maya, Stella, Lia, Sonny, Sienna and Mona, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Gus will repose at Lakelands Funeral Home, Cavan (H12RF78) on Thursday, 7th March, from 6pm until 8pm. Funeral Mass for Gus will take place at The Church of The Holy Family, Loch Gowna, Cavan, on Friday, 8th March, at 12pm, followed by cremation at Lakelands Funeral Home. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to The Irish Cancer Society. Thanks to the staff at the Mater Hospital and St. Francis Hospice, Raheny.

Peacefully on Monday, 4th March 2024, at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his sister Myrtle. Jack will be dearly missed by his loving family; his beloved wife Barbara, daughter Ruth (Alan Hall), sons John (Eileen), Derek (Tracy), Ivan (Glenda), Andrew (Leanne) and James, his treasured grandchildren and great-grandchild and the entire family circle.

The untimely and sudden death has occurred of Pete Keenan, Coretard, Threemilehouse, Co. Monaghan, Monday 4th March at his home. Predeceased by his father Peter, mother Mary Kate, sister Margaret Mc Cague, brothers James Hughes, & John (England) and also today his father in law John Bloor.

Pete's wife Marie, children Christian (Sinead), Siobhan, Caroline (Johnny) Aisling (James Treanor), Emily (Wayne Feeley) and Gemma (Noel Farrell) will always adore and love him. Pete's daughter & sons-in-law, his 13 grandchildren, together with his sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, and large circle of friends, will always treasure their beautiful memories of him.

Pete will repose at his home (H18N767) on Thursday (7th) & Friday (8th) .Pete's funeral procession will arrive on Saturday morning (9th) to St Mary's Chapel, Threemilehouse for 11am Funeral Mass, with burial in adjoining cemetery. Shuttle bus will be in operation on both evenings from 5pm until 9pm departing from the Sean Mc Dermotts Complex, Threemilehouse, Monaghan. Parking also available on the grounds of the Complex.

Michael (Mickey) Mackin

24 Fergot Rd., Derrynoose, Armagh / Monaghan Town, Monaghan

Mackin (Derrynoose Co Armagh) passed peacefully, March 4th 2024 on his 80th birthday Michael (Mickey) RIP. Beloved husband of the late Mary and devoted father to Declan (Michaela), Julie, Caroline, Charlene (John) and Aisling (Stephen). Brother of the late Frank RIP.

His remains will repose at his late residence 24 Fergot Rd until removal on Friday to arrive at St Mochua's Church, Derrynoose for 11am funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family welcome, visitors to the wake house Wednesday and Thursday between 12 noon to 9pm.
