Cloudy, rainy day but looking brighter tomorrow

Rather cloudy this morning with outbreaks of rain and drizzle pushing into the south and west. The rain will slowly move further north during the afternoon in a freshening southeasterly breeze. Highs of 9 to 11 degrees.

Cloudy and damp this evening with patchy light rain and drizzle but the rain will be more persistent along Atlantic coastal counties. Southeasterly breezes will be fresh too with lowest temperatures overnight of 4 to 8 degrees.

A cloudy start with some light patchy rain but sunny spells will develop by tomorrow afternoon and it will become mostly dry too. Southeasterly breezes will persist through the day with highest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees.

Cloudy early on Thursday night but it will gradually break up with some clear spells developing. A mild southeast breeze and lowest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees.

Friday is expected to be a dry day with a mix of cloudy periods and sunny spells. Rather mild too with a southerly breeze and highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees.

Clear spells and mostly dry early on Friday night but cloud will increase later from the south. Outbreaks of rain will push in over southern counties overnight but elsewhere will stay dry. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees in an easterly breeze.

Cloudy and rather unsettled on Saturday with outbreaks spreading throughout the country from early in the morning. The rain will be heavy at times in southern counties. Easterly breezes will be strong at times in the south with highest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees.

Cloudy and wet with outbreaks of rain, overnight on Saturday, possibly heavy at times with blustery winds too. Easterly breezes with lowest temperatures of 5 to 7 degrees.

Current indications are that low pressure will remain in charge for Sunday with cloud and rain across all counties at times. Blustery winds and highs of around 8 to 11 degrees.
