Shane Rooney

Shane Rooney, Belturbet, Co. Cavan and formerly Bundoran, Co. Donegal, March 21st 2024 unexpectedly at Cavan General Hospital. Sadly missed by his loving family, beloved wife and best friend Grace and treasured son Oisín. Parents Sheila and Pat, brother Patrick, sisters Brenda and Catherine, father in law Peter, brothers in law David, Chris, Francis and Paul (Máire), sisters in law Hazel and Claire (Ciaran), godchildren Daniel and Ava, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and his wide circle of friends.

Rest in Peace.

Remains will be reposing at Lawlors Funeral Home (eircode H14 R583) on Sunday evening, 24th March, from 6.00pm until prayers at 8.00pm. Remains will arrive for funeral mass at 11am on Monday morning at Church of Immaculate Conception, Belturbet with burial afterwards in Drumalee cemetery.

Bernadine McKeown

(née Owens)

Coolshannagh Road, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

Peacefully at Mullinahinch House Nursing Home.

Predeceased by her husband Brendan, her brothers Gerry and Sean and her sisters Rosmund and Breda.

Sadly missed by her daughters Fiona, Michelle and Tara, sons in law, grandchildren Hughie, Katie, Kiefer, Calvin, Lauren, Noah and Mollie, brother Cathal, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Maureen O Donoghue née Swift, 38 Glaslough Street, Co.Monaghan, Friday 22nd March, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Liam, grandson Aaron, parent Eugene & Alice Swift and brother Tony.

Maureen will be forever loved by her children Pauline (Anthony) , Maurina (Kieran), Michael (Helen), Amanda (Paul) her cherished grandchildren Daryl, Rachel, Nathan, Sian, Lauren, Niamh, Oisin & Emily. The death has occurred of Eileen Rooney, Cabra, Threemilehouse, Co. Monaghan, Friday 22nd March, after a short illness bravely borne, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff in the Lisdarn Unit in Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her daughter Margaret in 2022, her parents Michael & Nora Mc Kenna and her sister Kathleen.

Eileen will be forever loved and cherished by her husband Brendan, son Gerard, her adored grandchildren Jason, David, Ellen & Laura. Her sisters Bridget (Doherty) & Collette (Hughes) and her brother Patsy, sister in law and brothers in law, her nieces, nephews, neighbours and all who knew and loved her.

Eileen will repose at Clerkins Funeral Home, Milltown, (H18YF22) on Saturday (23rd), from 4pm to 7pm & Sunday (24th) from 5pm until 7pm with removal to arrive at St Marys Church, Threemilehouse for prayers at 7:30pm. Eileen funeral mass will take place on Monday (26th) at 11am followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium in Cavan. The death has occurred of Paddy Burns. Corcrin, Carrickmacross. 21st March 2024. In his 93rd year. Peacefully, at his home, surrounded by his cherished family.

Predeceased by his parents James & Katie, his sisters Madge & Kathleen and his brother Noel.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his beloved family; his wife May, his sons Martin & Pat and his daughters Catriona & Breda, his daughters-in-law Siobhán & Catheriona and his sons-in-law Declan McCaul & Tony Martin, his much-loved grandchildren; Oisín, Cian, Conor, Fionn, Patrick, Garreth, Brendan, Alannah, Ben, Maria, Eoin, Eimear, Micheál, Jenna, Ruby, AJ, Aaron & Esmay, his sister Nora McBride, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends & neighbours.

Paddy's funeral cortège will leave his home on Monday, 25th March, driving via Dundalk Road, proceeding on foot via Farney Street, to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Mary Rose (Molly) Holland, nee Skinnader, Dunmadigan, Emyvale, Co. Monaghan H18 FW32, Thursday, 21st March, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital.

Pre-deceased by her husband James, daughter Bridget, her brothers Peter, James, Francis, Owen and her sister Kitty.

Mary Rose will be sadly missed by her sons Tom, Jim, John, Michael, Oliver, Peter and Owen and her daughters Catherine, Margaret, Anna, Sarah, Charlotte and Xenia, her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Ireland, UK, Australia and the USA, sister-in-law Maisie, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mary Rose' remains will repose at McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale, H18 FK80, on Friday March 22nd from 5pm-9pm and at all other times at her late residence for family, neighbours and friends. Funeral Mass on Saturday March 23rd at Sacred Heart Church, Carrickroe, at 3pm followed by burial afterwards at the Holy Family Cemetery, Ballyoisin. Family flowers only, please.
