Sr. Mary Coleman

Missionary Sisters of the Holy Rosary, Cavan Town, Cavan / Coachford, Cork

The death has occurred of Sr. Mary Coleman, Missionary Sisters of the Holy Rosary, Cavan and formerly of Henmount, Coachford, Co. Cork, Wednesday April 10th 2024, peacefully. On Mission in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Guinea, England and Ireland. Pre deceased by her parents Nell and Gerry. Sr. Mary will be sadly missed by her sisters Nell and Sr. Kathleen, her brothers Fr. Chris, M.S.H. Noel and John, sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, her extended family, the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Rosary and all her relatives and friends

Evening prayers will take place in the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan, H21 C821, on Saturday evening, April 13th 2024, at 4.30pm.

Sr. Mary’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick and St Felim’s Cathedral, Cavan on Sunday April 14th 2024 at 1.30pm. Following Mass, burial will follow in the Convent plot in Cullies cemetery, Cavan. Sr. Mary’s Funeral Mass can be viewed live here.

For those who cannot travel from Cork, a memorial Mass will be celebrated there at a later date.

George McCullagh

Cabra, Kingscourt, Cavan, A82 CF58

The death has occurred of George McCullagh, Cabra, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, A82 CF58, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, in his 98th year, Wednesday, 10th April, 2024. Predeceased by his wife Doreen and his sister Maisie. Deeply regretted by his loving family; sons Ian, Edwin and Barry and daughter Heather. George will be sadly missed by his daughters-in-law Iris, Heather and Alison, son-in-law Thomas, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandchildren Laura, Anna, Sam, John, Amy, Rachel, Sophie, Blake, Aaron and Amber, extended family and friends.

Safe in the arms of Jesus

Reposing at his home on Friday, 12th April, from 4pm to 8pm. House private at all other times please. Funeral Service on Saturday, 13th April, in St. Ernan's Church, Kingscourt, at 2pm with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland c/o Gilmore Funeral Directors or a family member.

John Walsh

12 Killymooney Drive, Cavan Town, Cavan

John Walsh, 12 Killymooney Drive, Cavan Town, Wednesday April 10th 2024, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Patsy and Elizabeth and his sister Marie Doheny.

John will be very sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his loving wife Tereasa, daughter Helen (Karl), son Jonathan, his adored grandchildren, Jessica, Tyler, Odhrán, Emilia Rae and Daisy Mai, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, aunts, uncles, carers, all his extended family and many friends.

Reposing at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12 C821), on Thursday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 3pm in the Cathedral of S.s Patrick and Felim, Cavan, followed by burial in Cullies Cemetery. No flowers please, donations, in lieu, to Palliative Care, Cavan and the Cúan Cancer Care Centre, Cavan, via donation box in Funeral Home and the Cathedral. Mark Swift

Scotshouse Close, Scotshouse, Monaghan, H23 CF80

The death has occurred of Mark Swift, Scotshouse Close, Scotshouse, Co. Monaghan (H23 CF80) and formerly of Monaghan Town, suddenly and unexpectedly, Wednesday 10th April 2024. Predeceased by his sister Sharon (died in infancy), father-in-law James Hughes, brother-in-law Michael Hughes, brother-in-law Kevin McKenna, nephew Noah, uncle Tony Swift and aunts Eileen Rooney and Maureen O'Donoghue.

Cherished and much loved husband of Maggie (nee Hughes) and adored father of Megan and Mia. Mark will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, daughters, heartbroken parents Tawnie and Brian, his sisters Sonya (McKenna), Sharon (Scott McCaffrey), his brothers Brian (Amanda) and Darren (Claire), his mother-in-law Collette Hughes, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, many friends and by all who knew and loved Mark, who was loved beyond measure

May Mark's Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
