Mannok enjoyed success at the inaugural Manufacturing Excellence Awards 2024, picking up the Operational Excellence award.

Mannok were in the running for two awards at the ceremony which were held last Thursday night at the Radisson Blu, Golden Hall, in Dublin.

In addition to winning the Operational Excellence award the company were shortlisted as finalists for the Energy Achievement award at the prestigious awards ceremony.

Mannok manufactures a diverse range of construction products, chiefly in counties Cavan and Fermanagh.

The Operational Excellence Award was open to any manufacturer in Ireland that has used operational excellence as a critical driver to ensure processing and manufacturing efficiency and excellence over the past 18 months.

The Mannok submission included details on the company’s Leading Excellence Programme which focuses on achieving and sustaining the highest operational standards across the business through the core principles of teamwork, problem-solving, innovation, and leadership.

Mannok faced stiff competition from other high-performing businesses such as Boston Scientific, Janssen Sciences, Sanofi, Ventac, Viatris and WuXi Biologics to lift the award.

When presenting Catriona McGorman (Mannok Continuous Improvement Practitioner) with the Operational Excellence award, host Colm O’Regan said: “Mannok wins the Operational Excellence award because of their strategic and innovative initiatives which have yielded impressive results. They have struck a chord with our panel for their focus on customer satisfaction and commercial growth.”

For this, Mannok set out its plans, as stewards of the environment, to take bold actions and set ambitious targets to protect the environment and valuable resources, whilst actively preserving and enhancing biodiversity in the rich landscape where it operates.

Again, it was up against leading businesses including winner Janssen Sciences.
