Three people injured in aggravated burglary in Cork city

Three people have been injured following an aggravated burglary in Cork city.

The incident happened on Millerd Street on Wednesday morning.

The two women and a man were taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment.

Their injuries are understood to be serious but not life-threatening.

A sum of cash was stolen during the incident, and a technical examination of the scene is due to take place.

No arrests have yet been made, and investigations are ongoing.
