Terence (Tenny) Smith

Ladonigan, Bailieborough, Cavan, A82WF84

Terence (Tenny) Smith, Ladonigan Bailieborough, Co Cavan, died on May 20 2024, peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents John-Joe and Mary, sisters Kathleen and Bridget, nephew David, brothers in law Ted and Pat. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Kathleen, son Philip; daughters Mary (Brian) and Geraldine (Aiden),; grandchildren Ciara, Darren, Eoin, Kieran and Chloe; brother Tommy (New York); brother-in-law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence (A82WF84) Tuesday, May 21 from 5pm - 9pm and on Wednesday 22 from 5pm to 9pm. Funeral to arrive at St. Brigid's Church, Knockbride West, for Funeral Mass on at 12 noon on Thursday, May 23 with burial in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care c/o Funeral Director.

Michael McGovern

Drumlargan, Kilcock, Meath, W23 P65D / Cavan / Kilcock, Kildare and formerly of Ardmoneen, Co Cavan.

Suddenly, at his residence. Michael, predeceased by his wife Angela, sisters Ann and Mary, brothers Jim and Patrick Francis. Deeply regretted by his daughters Neasa, Maeve and Aveen; grandchildren Conall, Daniel, Diarmuid, Robyn and Hannah; sons-in-law Micheal and Peadar, and Enda; brother John; sisters Margaret and Agnes; sisters-in-law Frances, Catherine, Bernadette and Gertrude; brother-in-law John; nieces, nephews, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Michael will repose at his residence W23P65D on Monday, May 20 from 4pm- 8pm and on Tuesday from 4pm- 8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Assumption, Coole, Garadice, Kilcock, (W23 WAC8) at 11am on Wednesday followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Celia McDonagh (née Christy)

The Crescent, Castleblayney, Monaghan

Celia died on Sunday, May 19 2024, peacefully, surrounded by her devoted family. She will be remembered with love by her sons Eric and Les, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours, and friends.

A private cremation will take place for Celia in Lakelands Funeral Home and Crematorium, Cavan. House strictly private, by request.

Sr Carina Muldoon

Monaghan, Middletown, Armagh, H18 HT32 / Monaghan Town, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Sr Carina Muldoon, St Louis Convent, Monaghan/ Middletown, Co. Armagh and Aughagower, Co. Mayo. Peacefully, on Monday, May 20 2024 in the loving care of the staff at Orchard Lodge Nursing Home, Armagh.

Predeceased by her parents Edward and Cecilia and her brother Paddy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by brothers Edward and Tom, her sister Teresa, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, niece and nephews, her St Louis Communityand many friends.

Remains will be reposing in St Louis Convent, Monaghan H18 HT33 on Tuesday, 21st May, from 4pm-8pm. Removal from St. Louis Convent, Monaghan on Wednesday, May 22, to arrive at St. John's Church, Middletown, Co. Armagh BT60 4HS for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. GARY SULLIVAN

Mahon, Lisnalong, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Gary Sullivan, Mahon, Lisnalong, Co. Monaghan on Monday, May 20, 2024, peacefully at Beaumount Hospital surrounded by his loving family after a short illness bravely borne. Predeceased by his sons Harry and Alfie, father in law Eamonn and mother in law Dympna. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Carolyn, cherished sons Bobby and Frankie and daughter Maddie; parents Tom and Mairaid; brothers Declan (Mairaid), Thomas (Claire), Kevin (Helen); nephews, nieces, brothers in law, sisters in law, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Gary's remains will repose at his parents residence, A75WA46 on Tuesday, May 21 from 3pm until 9pm. House private to family and close friends at all other times please. Removal on Thursday morning, May 23 from his residence to St Mary's Church, Latton arriving for 11am Funeral Mass, burial will take place immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations, if so desired, to Ballybay Cancer Society c/o Gerry Coyle Funeral Director or any family member. Michael Goss

Cloughvalley, Carrickmacross, Monaghan / Haggardstown, Louth

The death has occurred of Michael Goss, Cloughvalley Carrickmacross and formerly Haggardstown, Co. Louth. May 19, 2024. Peacefully at his home, surrounded by his cherished family. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret; infant brother Francis; and his niece Selina.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his beloved family; his partner Nita, his daughter Kerina, his sons Alan, Ashley & Adrian, his grandchildren Allannah, Aaron, Megan, Erin, Cara, Cian & Jayden, his sisters Anne & Marguerite and his brothers Patsy, Gerard, Jim & Augustine, his extended family, neighbours & many friends.

Michael will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Monday, May 20 from 4pm until 7pm. Michael's funeral cortège will leave his home, Cloughvalley, on Tuesday, May 21 proceeding on foot via Farney Street, Main Street and O'Neill Street, to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Nóra Mac Cinna (née Holland)

The death has occurred of Nóra Mac Cinna (née Holland), Leacht Lorcáin, Muineachán, Co. Mhuineacháin, May 18, 2024 peacefully at the Mater Private Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by her husband Seán, her parents John and Brigid Rose Holland (née Treanor) and her brother Seán.

Sadly missed by her loving daughters Síona (David Lydon) and Nuala (Fintan Gorman), sons Lorcán (Elizabeth Loughrey), Colm (Martha McCague) and Eoin (Amy McKernan), grandchildren Daire, Briana, Aoibhín, Cathal, Conn, Caoimhe, Trea, Dónal, Seán, Ódhrán, Aifric, Éilis and Caolán, brothers Paddy, Joe, Maurice and Philip, sister Jennifer, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Philomena McKenna

Derrygasson, Emyvale, Monaghan, H18 P744

The death has occurred of Philomena McKenna, Derrygasson, Emyvale, Co. Monaghan, H18 P744, Sunday, May 19 peacefully, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Pre-deceased by her loving husband Seamus, her parents James and Eileen, sister Rosemary and brother PJ.

Philomena will be lovingly remembered by her sons Garrett (Catherine), Barry (Cathy), Darran (Denise) and daughter Edel (Brendan); grandchildren Jack, Callum, Alannah, Ella, Daithí, Pierce, Caragh, Michéal, Annie and Orla. Sadly missed by her sister Madge, brother Peter, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Philomena's remains will repose at her residence on Monday from 12 noon. Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at 11am at St.Patrick's Church, Corracrin. Burial afterwards alongside her beloved husband Seamus in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care or The Irish Cancer Society Night Nurses c/o Peter McMahon, McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale or any family member.
