Kieran Goggins throws his hat into the Local Elecions ring
He is running for the Irish Freedom Party in the Ballyjamesduff Electoral Area
Kieran Goggins has announced his candidacy on behalf of the Irish Freedom Party in the Ballyjamesduff Electoral Area in the Local Elections on June 7.
The political party’s primary objective is to re-establish Ireland’s sovereignty and national independence and restore its national democracy by leaving the European Union.
Based in Ballyjamesduff, Mr Goggins told The Anglo-Celt this week that he has met people while out campaigning who are “fed up coming second in their own country”.
“We need folks who will add to the nation, no matter where they are from. We could not run the HSE without medics from the Indian subcontinent,” he said, before pointing to his own political influences - Gandai, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Cavour.
“When it comes to housing, it should be Irish first. There are too many refugees in this country and they have arrived here too fast.”
Meanwhile, the Local Election hopeful points to the environment and climate and says that, while Gretta Thunberg’s ‘ideology’ “is fine on paper”, it’s not compatible with 21st century life. He is also adamant that the electorate should vote for him on June 7 “to stop Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael’s 100 years of ineptitude”.
Kieran's has long standing links to the locality on his mother's side. Mr Goggins holds a BA (HONS) in European 20th Century History and an M. Litt from Bristol University in Hispanic Studies focusing on politics and human rights abuses.
